I imagine the process would be similar to what other phones do with root but without an unlocked bootloader: use FlashFire and/or SafeStrap. Devs can get the OTAs and inject root (amongst other stuff) and users can flash the modified packages despite the signature not matching LG's.

That seems to be a security thing. The install button does not permit anything to overlay it. Disable any apps that might be overlaying, such as Lux.

+1 to this, as much as I love this kernel I'm nearing my last straw with the screen off issues. Makes my phone unusable, especially when I need it the most (don't you love that???)

I have a similar issue where the music will appear to be playing over bluetooth but there is no sound. The volume is turned all the way up. My solution is to turn the volume all the way down to 0, then back up to the level you want. For whatever reason, this fixes it and I can hear my music fine.

My S3 gets a little warm playing games for hours. When I download torrents for hours, does this thing get HOT. Specifically the bottom half of the phone. Almost uncomfortable to touch.

Set Titanium Backup to backup to ext-sd. Make your NANDROIDs save to sd-ext as well. If your phone is ever damaged (fall in water, fall on ground, etc) then at least you still are able to salvage the sdcard with your precious information.

My phone has the same issue. Several dark patches all over on a dark background while in a dark room. That is the only time i ever notice it; doesn't bother me in the least. Other people have sent in phone after phone, every one of them having these these splotches.
