Last night my daughter checked her z3 play and she got the update. Exact same phone as mine and same carrier. But not me. So pissed and jealous! IDK what their rollout strategy or method is but it blows. J

What if you used a VPN to make it seem like your phone was in Minneapolis or where ever they are testing 5 g? Maybe they have it set to only roll out the update at places where 5 g is expected and forgot about the rest of the owners. J

That's what they're saying, however, it might just be for the one Verizon sold in stores. I bought my Z3 play from Amazon (without Alexa) so who knows when I'll see it. J

I don't disagree with anything you're saying. They have a lot of potential but they suck so hard right now with updates and just general basic stuff I can't recommend a Moto. My Z3 has been great but still no OS update and we're well into 2019. They are circling the drain. J

Just buy a new Moto. They are cheap and, besides, I don't think anyone works at Motorola anymore based on their lack of software updates/support. J

Tired of waiting for z3 Pie I'm getting sick of checking forums only to hear Pie update BS about Motorola/Lenovo doing anything they said they'd do. It's not that hard. I have a z3 Play no skins so just update the dang thing. Or not. Jerry
