Tried a clean flash. It reboots the UI at the exact same moment -- just before loading the home screen. Don't know what else to try. I'm going back to 3.9.

Just flashed version 3.11 and now phone hangs at Phone is starting screen, and after a while it reboots the UI. Flashed back to 3.9 and the problem is gone. I tried wiping the cache (Dalvik and Art) but to no avail. Any thoughts?

I can't upgrade from version 20200707 to 20200723 in twrp because apparently my modem firmware needs to be updated. The upgrade in twrp has never failed before so I'm a little surprised. -- EDIT -- Oxygen modem 9.0.6 firmware flashed separately, Havoc upgraded succcessfully.

    Post ota 1may security patch

I'm afraid I can't answer your question as I don't know how to create a side-loadable zip unfortunately. I would be able to convert the XML into a BAT file without problems -- I could even automate it -- but the OTA package doesn't contain any XML file so there's nothing to go on, at least for...

    Post ota 1may security patch

Well, I have an idea of how to flash them but some of them confuse me. If you look at this post, it explains how to flash: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-play/how-to/firmware-oficial-9-0-0-pie-instalacion-t3911995 But there are some extra img files in the ota which I don't know what to do...

No problem. Please let me know how if and how you manage to flash the images. Every time I tried I got stuck in a bootloop so I must have been doing something wrong.

    Post ota 1may security patch

Hi, I managed to download the zip file from my computer. It should simply work but keep in mind that it will expire after some time. The URL I posted is just an example and it has already expired. Sideloading the ota zip doesn't work. You can use the payload_dumper Python script to extract the...

connect the phone via usb adb logcat > ota.txt start the update checker on the phone when it's done checking for updates, kill the adb process with ctrl-c open ota.txt in a text editor, and find "UpdaterEngineHelper". There should be a downloadURL that looks likes this...

Post [ROM][Pie][OFFICIAL] Resurrection Remix v7.0.2 [beckham]

A few remarks: If I boot with the battery mod attached, the mod's battery percentage is incorrectly displayed as the phone's actual percentage. When I remove the mod while the phone is in use, the phone's battery percentage will show 0%. When I reattach the mod, it will change back to the mod's...

Post ICS for Xperia S delayed

On two different Dutch tech sites. To quote the Sony representative: Re: Ics Release IN JUNE / JULY IN THIS YEAR 2012 OK, looks like I've mixed things up. I'm really sorry for this. - The ICS roll out for Xperia arc S, ray and neo V started some time ago. - The rest of the 2011 Xperias will...

Thread ICS for Xperia S delayed

Hi there, I just read that the ICS update for the Xperia S is not coming in June but later. That's the bad news. The good news is that it will most likely be ICS 4.0.4 instead of 4.0.3 (which the 2011 Xperia devices will be updated to). Let's hope they release an intermediate update which...

Post [Q] Xperia S broken charger

Hi there, It is safe. You cannot charge it quicker than your phone can handle. Compare it to a funnel: you can pour a lot into it, but only a limited amount comes out at a time. It's the same with current. Hope it helps.

Post [Q] Disappearing apps in internal memory

I'm using Launcher Pro and have these issues constantly, but the problem is not related to the launcher - the apps are gone from the entire system. Play Store treats them as not installed, TitaniumBackup cannot run or restore them. Every time I reboot there's at least one app missing - can be...

Thread [Q] Disappearing apps in internal memory

Hi guys, some people are reporting apps going missing after a reboot. These apps are always installed in the internal memory, so not in the phone memory, and they may reappear after another reboot. As discussed on androidforums.com and communities-origin.sonyericsson.com (I can't post any...
