that's what i was saying missing the "use hardware acceleration" unless there are something we do not know between 10x and 5G apart from 5G modem and dual sim.

you helped a lot. i do not loss anything anyway. i had disney+ streaming at 1080p for my kids. uninstalled prime video, 480p on a 6.6 inch screen is useless.

tethering hardware acceleration is on by defult. tried game mode, still no luck. i can live without it, just wondering what cause the issue, amazon? so amazon decides the HD availablity by every single phone? not by hardware? interesting

widevine is L1 even on cos6. that's not about widevine

even on cos7.1 reno 5G is still unable to play amazon prime video at 1080P, very sad. best quality is still locked to 0.46GB/hr. start to wonder why? heard members here cliams his 10x zoom could do 1080P prime video, what makes 5G could not. they are identical on hardware specs.

i set google photo as defult photo app in the setting. however in the stock camera, after taking photo, the quick view still goes to oppo's photo app. any chance we can change? thanks

Maybe it is the cos7, fixed this. Can you remember when you were on cos6? No issue as well? 10x zoom and 5g basically are the same phone.i hope when I get cos7, I could watch at 1080p.

Are you on Reno 5g ? Cos6 or cos7? Do you have the toggle "use hardware acceleration" in the settings? My pixel 2xl won't play 1080p until turn on the option. However I do not even have that option on my Reno.

i would be happy if the 1080p works on amazon prime video. mine can only do like 480P (0.46GB/hr)on prime video.

if that is the case, i guess there is nothing i can do. Maybe one day after a update, it will be fixed. it is pain to watch 480p on a 6.6 inch screen. by the way, may i ask you battery drain during standby? like 8 hrs standby, yestday i reset my phone with off screen clock off...

I read online, cos 7 brings some sort of GPU acceleration, not sure if that will help solve this issue.

Thanks for your reminder, I find there is a option to " use hardware acceleration" on my old pixel 2xl phone. Make it HD now. However, the option isn't even there on my Reno 5G at all. Have no idea. i installed netflix and in the setting, it shows widevine L1 and FULL HD, i guess it's fine...

Hi guys, recently i got a oppo reno 5G which is basicly a 10x zoom 5G version. it is currently on color os 6, it's widevine L1, but unable to play prime video at HD, best quality is only at 0.46GB/hr. as reno 10x zoom 4g already updated to color os 7, just wonder if any change been made...
