I have newly acquired a samsung s4 active with 4.2 stock. I couldn't OTA upgrade or manually (keeps failing halfway through), couldn't flash 4.4 ROM through recovery, and couldn't do backups through ROM manager and recovery 3.0+ At this point i'm not sure what i should do. i'd like to set...

I use the google voice app for making calls.. For some reason it started happening since switching to ATT/New ROMs.... the call log shows the Google Voice forwarded numbers instead of the contacts i call! please help

You're right.. that i did. My phone was blank and the power button just wouldn't boot the phone so i resulted to the force-recovery. Everything seems to be working, and i'm going to flash to milestone 6 while i'm at it. Anything i should watch out for other that FC's? i've actually read...

None of my attempts to recover worked.. so i decided to ODIN to stock and back to AOKP. So far so good.. AOKP stock loaded, now i'm going to try and do a backup restore. One thing i missed though --- i didn't install the atlas file with the stock ROM.. does it matter? what does it do anyway?

I googled it and installed the app (it says installed) through my computer. but... i don't have play store on my phone or any google apps to sync my google account. can someone please do me a favor and tell me what i need to do to start getting my phone going? i've been with a blank OS all...
