I read the same about the gapps. So which gapps are we supposed to be using? As far as I know Cyan still has the 4.2.1 gapps from last December as their most recent.

Switch to Latest Franco nightly kernel for 4.2x and check that a rogue app isn't the culprit. On 4G my battery drains fast, but not that fast. I can get over 2 hours of screen on time and make it about 16 hours. On WiFi or 3G I can get three hours of screen on time and make it 16 hours. This...

Flash the stock kernel or perhaps the latest Franco nightly, as people don't seem to be having issues with those. It could be the cause of your DSP issue.

So which kernel is giving everyone the best battery life? Yes, I know this is a highly subjective question, but I am looking for comments nonetheless. My only criteria is that the kernel must continue to allow full usage of the Color Multipliers Tuning and Color Gamma Tuning found in Advanced...

Sounds like a rogue app or something is causing the battery life issues. If you try different kernels and the issues remain I'd do a full wipe and re-flash. I am not having the same experiences you are and I am on stock October M release; I can get 17 hours of battery life and between 2-3...

Last night I achieved nearly 3 hours of on-screen time and 17 hours of battery life; this was using r268-384. Has anyone tried any of the other nightlies since that one? I'd like to flash one and try, but I'm worried battery life will be worse. Has anyone had great battery life with any of...

Jeez, I had no idea. I have flashed almost every ROM out there (except Codename, go figure) and the impact on battery life was negligent. I'll give it a go, though, especially if I can eek out some more battery life. There are so many great and smooth ROM's and kernel combinations that now my...

    Post [ROM][JB 4.2.2][OFFICIAL] AOKP MR1 Build 4

The only problem with build 2 is the one AOKP mentions on their website, which is that setting a custom ringtone to a contact will cause a crash. This build is great besides that, but it looks like we'll see build 3 soon, which will include a fix for the custom ringtone issue.

    Post [ROM][JB 4.2.2][OFFICIAL] AOKP MR1 Build 4

Exactly. If one were to connect the dots we could guess this is why the download links are down for build 2. We should probably wait for build 3 folks.

The jelly bean build is in stock form right now, which means no toggles. It is the most solid "stock" jelly bean rom there is IMO. With that said, in the ICS and previous builds (for other phones) Pete did add extra features, keeping it mostly stock with a dash of customization. I imagine...

^ This. I also heard there are now lockscreen target choices, more navigation bar targets, etc. I'm thrilled with AOKP as is in build one, but a few extra goodies with a dash of more "butter" would be great too. Replacing the kernel with the 700MHz bug to one that isn't faulty would be nice...

Rom Manager is the cause, not Bugless Beast. Use root explorer to navigate to the root of the "sd card" and delete the file called .nomedia. Jelly Bean runs stupid fast, faster than even CM9. However, there are still bugs so I've flashed back to good 'ol CM9 RC1. I can't imagine how great CM will be once they implement Jelly Bean. I "pity the foo" who didn't stick with their GNex.
