flashed the 3.84 radio via fastboot last night.. im on SASOP with project fi.. my signal strength is way stronger today than it was previous both at work and at home.. i havent used much data yet, however my "bars" are solid at almost full at home and work for the first time in a long time..

hey frap, wanted to switch from another and try your ROM today but im having issues downloading.. wouldnt start the download earlier when i tried, now it will start but will take 9 hours lol..server issues? i downloaded other stuff all morning so i know the issue isnt on my end.. can you check...

i was having this same problem on 4.08.. i couldnt disable hexacore mode, change governors, or turn touchboost off.. options were greyed out or simply refused to manually change..i figured i was doing something wrong.. the only times i have had any type of kernel issues with this or any other...

thanks for the reply...i tossed that around..there are only 3 apps i have that arent directly from the playstore.. they are beans mini gapps, xda labs, and magisk manager and all 3 were downloaded from "trusted" threads here on xda.. same ones i had/downloaded in the past (i let them update)...

really? i have 3 young kids who are constantly on the move.. open camera has worked much better for action shots.. ive also had issues with opening the stock and nx cameras fast enough to get the pic i want.. for some reason open camera is instant open and shoot, where there is a 4-5 second...

try "open camera" from the playstore.. ive found it to be a lot better than nx or stock camera..

i fixed my issue as you read.. my phone is still running awesome.. absolutely zero battery issues.. i still use 3.0.2-2 and im still on nitrogen (latest) with the provided kernel.. i think it is software related somehow.. just not sure what from.. once I reverted everything, it was like it never...

right.. ive seen those.. a bug could still be in source code.. thats why ive said im pretty sure ;) plus, if it were hardware for me i wouldnt have been able to fix it by flashing different files.. so im certain mine was software.. just not sure what software..

i flashed back to the 3.0.2-2 twrp (from the latest) and clean flashed my ROM, leaving the ROMs stock kernel and my shutdowns and slow battery charge issue went away.. ive been running perfect since.. im not sure what caused the shutdowns, but at least on my device the issue is not hardware...

what i have been doing since this issue popped up is allowing snapchat to restore after a clean flash, and then use TIBU to restore "data only" for it.. opens right up for me.. even with root the data only restore only works for some apps to bypass login..i use it for snapchat and instagram..

i have noticed this on both PN and Nitrogen. swipe left or right, then back to the camera screen and it works fine.. no idea why..

dang .. sorry..it worked for a few of us on project fi.. i havent seen one of those messages since setting that to yes.. im assuming you are on the google dialer? im not sure if it works for aosp dialer..

go to settings-apps-phone.. at the bottom is an option for "allow modify system settings " make sure it is on YES.. solved my problem with this on project fi..

ok.. so just before i flashed the old radio i noticed something.. if you go to settings-apps-phone you will want to make sure that default is google phone.. BUT also the "modify systems settings" was set to NO.. i changed it to YES.. so far my normal afternoon sprintdm message hasnt appeared...

could it be the new radio? project fi here and i have the same issue.. i can connect to sprint fine, have data.. but it will randomly give me the sprintdm activation error.. im going to try and find an older radio and see if that solves it.. ill post results when i give it time to test

I posted that over in his kernel thread, when I discovered that setting when asking a question about battery life after flashing a version of his flash kernel.. since untoggling that my battery life has been excellent.. if you are also using flash kernel, I would strongly recommend his "flash"...

you have to change your launcher to launcher3 to set up assistant, then you can change your launcher back to whatever one you normally use.. assistant will stay with you.. EDIT: I also never flashed the new Gapps.. I've kept the 10/10 Gapps, and didn't have to clear Google data to get it...

add the second line by typing it right below the edit to "pixel xl"

UPDATE: I tried all flash kernels (.11/.12/.13 and current .14) and was getting horrible battery.. I couldn't figure it out.. nothing had changed.. so this afternoon I flashed the new PN and flash kernel v.14 again, and I see after a few hours that my android system and android OS are killing...

I'm on Fi.. I have never had an issue with any ROM causing FI issues.. my initial upgrade to 7.0 it took about 20 minutes to connect to Fi, but mine has always worked flawlessly..make sure you are connected to wifi when you flash though.. it helps Fi setup.. I cannot speak about issues with Fi...
