zxz0O0 In the .bat file, what exactly does >nul 2>&1 mean? Im trying to run the adb commands manually in linux and am trying to understand what im doing exactly.

So let's say I wanted a little script to run it all, how much of the .bat file would I need to modify?

So just adb push and chmod everything and it should magically work?

Is it as simple as adding #!/bin/bash to the .bat file then changing it to .sh and running it in terminal?

What I was saying is a noob needs to read and learn and they don't need root as they don't even know what root means.

It doesn't have to be noob friendly as noob's wouldn't know what to do with root access if it was dropped on their heads.

Not everyone is updating with ota... I'm still on .93, as with updates come bug fixes and less vulnerabilities. And to those who think that with lollipop coming we will be more likely to get root.. I don't think so. We need root on stock firmware and THEN update.

Your very pessimistic... lets say you use a flashing tool from the pc side. Would the use of such a tool require a bootloader unlock or a rooted device to start with?

And you have to unlock the bootloader to flash the firmware only?

How about flashing a stock unbranded rom (or a backup of your own rom) with su baked in from the start? Or are we not able to flash firmware without being rooted?

Well for myself and im sure many others, bootloader unlock is not allowed. So why do we not have r/w access? I dont really know enough about the android operating system, but i am familiar with linux, it should be a simple command to allow r/w?

What does this mean exactly? I was under the assumption that all you had to do was use adb to push su and busybox to the phone?

My battery has lasted over 6 days now, with about 3.5 hours screen on time, still have 10% left!!! :D I haven't seen battery life like this before on any phone, simply amazing!

So what current exploits have been tried with the z3c? We should have a comprehensive list of what has been tried and what has not. Other xperia devices have root with a locked bootloader, whats different about our phone?

It's mostly aesthetic, but yes it is an improvement in functionality as you can have more widgets on screen than stock.

We have been hoping and waiting for a while.. the fact is, no one with knowledge about this os wants to help.. and until they do or someone figures it out we are stuck waiting on Sony.

It's Sony's fault really for their choice of operating system for the watch. If we as a community could reverse engineer the software maybe some custom stock watch faces wouldn't be so hard to make.

The main problem with any watchface app right now is that its an app that runs on your watch not a replacement stock watchface. Before you buy an app just remember that anyone and their dog can make an app and put it on the play store. There are some great developers out there that have my...

I also have noticed this bug.

I've had my watch for over 3 months and have no problems like this. You could contact Sony and see if they will repair or replace it. Looks like a warranty issue to me.

I have the necessary tools already.. the firmware file for the watch is within the Sony app, how do you interface with the watch directly?

I think it is that file, still trying to figure out how to open/view/edit... I've looked through the .XML files and many of the files necessary for the watch to run seem to be extracted from costanza.

I'd like it if I could turn off the motion sensor, it may save some battery. Although as it is I get 3-4 days depending on usage, and in two hours it was fully charged from dead.

I have found within the smart watch 2 app some .PNG files allowing me to change the look of some of the icons, no luck finding any watch face files. I also found a file called fw_costanza.bin, and fw_bootloader.bin, anyone have any idea how to open said file type?

The sensor is not disabled, if you set the watch on the table for a while the screen will go blank and as soon as you move the watch the screen comes back on.

Sony sw2 with sgs 1 Well finally my watch arrived! Yay! Purchased on eBay on Sept 27, finally arrived on Oct 25. Linked up to my Samsung Galaxy S1 just fine. I didn't think my old sgs 1 would support Bluetooth 3.0, but it does! Very happy so far!

If we were able to access the files within the watches system files we could customise an image and put it back as if it were a standard watch face?
