Post [NIGHTLY] [ROM][GRJ90] CyanogenMod 7 for Samsung Fascinate (fascinatemtd)

IMO there isn't really a reason to run the glitch kernel unless you want the faster overclock. The stock kernel has every necessary fix, and gives you the same UV control with voltage control (only 1300MHz OC tho). I have achieved over 40hrs battery life using the stock kernel. As for in call...

Sounds like your launcher hid the status bar. Check your launcher settings. ---------- Post added at 12:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:33 AM ---------- Previously this was related to the "Hi-Fi Record" option in Voodoo Control App. I have low mic volume when this is enabled...

    Post [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 (fascinatemtd) pretty-much-official build 11.1 - [07/18/11]

The files in the zip were apparently not the right size for the screen, I have tried several other ones since and they all work great. It could just be me believing in voodoo magic but i seemed to have the best success with putting the bootanimation.zip file into /data/local and then also...

GPS Aids is in the Market and works fantastic for our phones. It takes some playing with the settings and enabling everything to override the initial setup, but it definitely makes a massive difference.

Question and possible feature request. Can the ability to set custom boot animations be added to the kernel? From my google fu I found: How to change your boot animation. Which suggests the kernel must support it. I have replaced the existing bootanimation.zip in the appropriate place...

You can 3 button salute to get into whatever previous of CWM you had and flash CM7 from there. I recommend a complete wipe before you install the ROM though. After that, reboot into the phone, select reboot>recovery and flash GAAPS. Worked great for me. As a way to get out of boot loop I mean...

I fixed this issue. By which I mean I put my phone back into my Otterbox Defender Case. I now no longer get random button presses. It appears then that the issue may be the buttons being too sensitive? Can people that are having this issue confirm the issue is happening either with no case...

Had this issue on the 6/20 build, not on the 6/26 build, and do on the 7/01 build. I luckily got logcat running before, and here is what I believe to be the pertinent parts: E/InputMethodService( 369): Unexpected null in startExtractingText : mExtractedText = null, input connection =...

This is an issue specific to your setup somehow. The 6/26 build works fine for both sensors. Sometimes you have to hit the power button to wake the screen but not too often. I would reflash the latest build Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App

This was happening to me as well. Has not happened since flashing the 6/26 build though. Will update tomorrow if it starts up again with log files.

I am not running the softlocker app. According to my phone I am baseband ED03 so my experience may be different, but I am guessing not. Given that you are not experiencing issue two with not receiving calls and your battery life is poor, logic would suggest that your phone is not reaching deep...

    Post [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 (fascinatemtd) pretty-much-official build 11.1 - [07/18/11]

As stated earlier in the thread this is a known issue with all current CM builds. It is usually dubbed "Phantom Ring", and there is no known fix. However, I find that if I place a call (I usually call my google voice number as it is forwarded to my phone anyway) the issue will stop. In my...

QFT. Had this issue with JT's last CM7 Alpha, and am definitely glad to find this easy fix. Honestly as soon as I installed VooDoo control app, the problem was solved, did not even have to enable volume keys hack. On a different note has anyone else had issues with apps spam closing. It is...

I apologize if this was already answered, but i am experiencing this same issue. It seems that 90% of the apps i install from the market will constantly force close if I reboot after installing them. Basically everything besides the black google addon that I flashed. The ROM otherwise works...

To be fair, I do not think he/she actually stated that it was THEIR creation. But of course, crediting the author is always well deserved. On another note, I am interested in the SU bug and having to be in landscape, as a lot of my apps will not turn to landscape. I am familiar with alogcat...

I just went though the entire process with my phone. There is alot of info out there but a lot if it is fragmented. you have to use a program called ODIN to flash a particular version of Clockwork to the phone, and I know there is a post by JT with a file titled "cwm-recovery-ALL.tar" That is...

    Post Near brick stories?

In my experience with flashing motherboards, xbox360s, etc. I would guess that it is impossible to brick your phone in CWM, but definitely possible using ODIN. When you put the phone into download mode(plug into PC with no battery, hold volume down) and have the yellow "construction" android...

In my mind, after dealing with a fair amount of the general populace through a retail setting, there is only 1 reason to own an iPhone over and Android: The user. For people that are not in any way tech savvy, or a tinkerer, or smart enough to manage their elevated privileges, or do not like...

Posted this in another thread: Honestly I have not had any issues with the silicone shell coming off, other then slipping a little on the face, by the earpiece. The hard silicone piece under it was biting my ear a little, but I just filed that edge a bit (rounded it out) and it works great...

Post Facing out belt clip? To modify for bike mount

I use the Otter Box defender case/clip combo. The clip can be used either way, with the screen facing in (very protected) or with it facing out(to use like a dock). On top of that the clip piece locks into full open position, allowing you to use it as a stand. Handy if you want to sit on the...
