I tried taking the Contacts.apk directly from the Vibrant system dump and it didn't do anything but FC so I was thinking maybe I need the odex file also or there was more work to be done to get it running that was beyond my knowledge.

We're aware but that's not what we want. I want like the Captivate and Vibrant where I swipe right and it places a call and left opens a message.

Works fine on CDMA however I can't get it to work on this phone. It starts fine and set up goes fine but then it will randomly turn itself off. May be a memory issue I'm not sure.

It works like when you are in the fascinates messaging app. Swipe your finger right on a messaging thread and it place a call, left and it opens a message. On the vibrant it will do this in the contacts app.

That's funny, I think most of us have been saying the same about Europe for a long time lol. I didn't pre order one. Kind of made the decision to get one yesterday so hopefully there will be plenty of stock. Can't wait to get rid of Sprint and this Evo.

The TouchWiz UI is what you're looking for but I don't think the widgets or notification bar have been ported yet.
