Bingo. The 3G service is deprecated and the apps are requesting more and more data. So when you initially said "none" you were completely wrong. For example, the WSDOT app I used now is updated, and slower than ever. It gets a GPS lock then just grinds forever trying to sync up the map and...

Bummer. No LTE means a lost sale from me. Bandwidth is everything. Maps, directions, movie times, sports scores, traffic updates, email attachments... LTE. Very strange decision by Google to abandon LTE.

Updated to the 9/27 build with Devil 1.6, gapps loaded, updating stuff via google play and rebooting now

Question about syncing: only doing minor tweaks, somehow the email sync (exchange OR pop3) had stalled. toggling the global sync would fix it temporarily. I dirty flashed the test JB rom, updated to a Devil JB kernel, and gapps. phone came up remarkably!!!! kudos to steve and der on...

Dang, latest nightly seems to reboot on inbound 3G items. SMS and calls so far. and the reboot menu on "reboot" goes to recovery, which isn't a big deal I suppose, since you just choose the top item in recovery to reboot again.

1.3.0 installed successfully, gapps loaded. Did a triple wipe with bleach. I think it was due, it was starting to act like an unpatched windows 98 machine. haha. up and running smoothly so far!! reconnected to exchange messaging AOK and just re-downloading stuff from the market as far as apps...

Is 1.0.1+ out? The Download Gummy link in the OP seems to time out. Maybe the domain it's hosted on is borked up at the moment? And wishful thinking: is there a way to tag the install with a version number? And have the system update function check to see if there's a new revision number? :D...

this is really true. I'm no veteran, but those questions have been around since I can recall going from 2.1 to 2.2 to 2.3 ROMs. folks just are wandering around mentally and asking things that can only really be figured out on their own. a bulleted list of the 8 katrillion differences wouldn't...

I wonder how it can lag out. Perhaps folks aren't nuking it from orbit when coming from other roms, newer OR older? FWIW, mine was a little messed up but then I lobotomized it and it's been smooth sailing on gummy, and on nightlies I just have to wipe cache and dalvik and everything migrates...

the 4.0.4 build (wiped dalvik and cache, not data) going great so far it seems. the apex launcher has a fix from the market. everyone should get that. fixes the FC on 4.0.4. great job guys, so far so good!!!!!

my only observation that could be negative would be pretty aggressive battery use so far. if the icon is accurate, it seems to nearly ALWAYS be downloading something. I'll give it a couple more days and reboots and battery stat wipes to see if it settles down.

you know it could be exchange cranked up to really high permissions requirements for mobile devices. ask the administrator.

Any changelog for 4.0.4? Been running for a while on 4.0.3 and the only real issues is the FCs with apex (post update I think) and some egregiously bad battery life sometimes. I think I'll nuke 'er from orbit and go 4.0.4 anyway.

Howdy ! Are the install rules still current for those of us on 2.3.4 ? Put on the THS build, let it boot, then do this ROM and then Gapps? There's mention of needing a new boot loader CWM (needed ahead of time??) , I'm trying to sort that out before proceeding... any tips?

Time to get on the ROM bandwagon! 2.3.4 powerwashed GB has served me well for a long time. Now I gotta get on the latest and greatest, which hopefully has unlocked/masked tethering! :D
