Netflix, Disney+ I noticed on crDroid 6.7 for my Xiaomi Redmi 4A, these apps are available in the Play Store, but not in crDroid 6.7 for Galaxy S6.

Looks good but no audio inbound or outbound for phone calls on SM-G920W8. Also WiFi is weak and sporadic. On the plus side MMS over LTE works on Freedom Mobile.

I tried restoring EFS from a TWRP backup of the ROM where LTE/MMS work but no luck. Behavior is the same. Found that MMS on Freedom Mobile also works on EvolutionX ROM, so I think it is a ROM problem on this LOS 16 ROM.

This appears to be an issue with the ROM, as my phone connects to LTE and can send MMS messages successfully on Freedom Mobile with transi1's new crDroid 6.7 release for zerofltecan / SM-G920W8.

Please add support for the SM-G920W8 (zerofltecan) with North American bands. There are several of us on the forum that could test it for you.

The APNs were already set to IPV4. Changed to IPV4/IPV6 but no luck. Could it be a band 13 issue - something not enabled in the ROM? Freedom uses some less common bands.

That's great - I'll check the APNs. It was working on Public Mobile before I switched to Freedom. I know Freedom uses different frequencies/bands than most so it could be a ROM issue enabling those bands as well. I have found 16 to be much more stable than 17.1. Glad its working out for you.

Having trouble sending & receiving mms on Freedom Mobile in Canada - Any ideas? APNs are setup correctly.

I actually went with enesuzun2002's LOS 16.0 ROM as it has newer security patch than RR. Call volume doesn't seem to be adjustable but is set pretty reasonable and with no echo issues - works well for calls. enesuzun2002, Would it be possible to update 17.1 with the same volume settings as 16.0?

This ROM is working good for me so far. Hopefully enesuzun2002 will keep it updated with current security patches. I switched from the 17.1 ROM which was unusable due to the excessive unadjustable call volume and some BT audio issues. I am using a 920W8 in Canada.

Does this build support the W8 variant in North America?

Really need the phone to work well as a phone in order to use it as a daily driver. The inability to adjust call volume / turn it down from max is a showstopper for me. Camera and flashlight were working fine for me on 6.5. Now they are both broken. That is a showstopper for me. I think I will need to go back to 6.5 :(

Updated to crDroid 6.6 / May 21. I am now getting a System Security notification: SELinux is not enforcing, your security has been weakened. I never saw this message on prior builds.

The sensor is recognised by the operating system as it works in general afterward - just an issue with the wizard.

I use my surnia when running - pretty much a WiFi enabled MP3 player for music and podcasts. Loaded the 17.1 ROM and for my purposes it is working great. Paired Bluetooth audio with Jabra elite 65t. I hadn't really made any calls beyond testing that the phone audio worked since installing. This morning I had a voicemail so I called in to check. Call volume was like 100% in my attached headphones and the vol +/- buttons did nothing to change the volume.

I did experience this but only after loading OpenGApps.

I have never used a clock alarm since installing the ROM. There are 2 disabled ones by default.

My Bluetooth speaker works fine on the latest build but I do have a problem with wired headphones. With wired headphones plugged in I hear audio from both the headphones and the phone's internal speaker. Any workaround for this?

Trebuchet is the LineageOS launcher. After flashing Gapps, go into app settings and clear defaults for Trebuchet and select Pixel Launcher as your default launcher.

Installed latest on SM-G920W8 in Canada. Android is smooth and performs great. I can make & receive phone calls with audio working. I don't have much data plan but it does show connected to LTE. Using 5ghz wifi on channel 36. Bluetooth audio to speaker works fine. Camera works fine...

Sorry - you are right. I was playing mainly with Android functionality - not yet inserted a SIM card. Just tested and you are correct - it rings and makes the connection but no audio on the 920W8. :( What ROM are you using with success?

How do other custom ROMs get around this? I can install Netflix on my Xiaomi Redmi 4a running crDroid for example.

Is it just me or are wifi downloads really slow after the latest build? Streaming apps work fine but things like downloading apps from the Google Play Store take forever.

My battery life has been quite acceptable - on par with other ROMs I have used. Gets me through the day and then some. I did not notice a significant difference from stock or Pixel Experience 9.

Everything is running so smoothly. Thanks to the maintainer for keeping this device alive and current!

I don't know about where you live, but here it would probably cost around the same to repair as it would to purchase another used phone with better specs. If you really want a Redmi 4A, eBay might be an option. For example...

WiFi is working fine. I was on 1/3 build and updated using the 'check for updates' feature which reboots to TWRP. I guess that would be a 'dirty flash'.
