No you do not need to wipe anything after the installation cmiiw so you do wipe everything - flash the bootloader - flash rom - flash gapps - reboot - enjoy

Tried to install lollipop bootloader as you suggested, but still my phone restarted whenever I plug in headset. Reverted back to v3.0 with lollipop bootloader & now I have baseband version on v3.0. Dunno what's wrong, I think I'm gonna stick to v3.0 for awhile.
