I've noticed something new and it is driving me crazy. My wife pointer out to me that I had a red light in my pocket. I looked and there was a red light intermittently flashing from the back by the camera flash. Anyone seen this before and how do I disable it?
Thanks
I'm going to be taking my family to the Caribbean this October and I was hoping to take some nice underwater photos while I am there. While I know that water and electricity don't mix, I was just wondering if anyone has extensively used/tested any waterproof cases. I'm looking for suggestions...
I appreciate the images, they were a huge help. I actually liked the Razr's pic more that the Note's shot for a few of those. I liked my Galaxy Nexus, my only real complaint was the battery life. I do remember how all the roms were basically the same haha.
I get funny looks when I say this...
If you could upload pics I would appreciate it. While I don't always use the camera, there are times when it is all I have and need a good shot.
Haha, if you are selling yours should I take that as a sign that I shouldn't switch? I'm still deciding, but if I decide to get it I'll consider...
So I currently have a Note 2, I am thinking of switching to the RAZR HD but i had a few questions. I do understand that the camera is a bit lackluster on the RAZR when being compared to the HD. I was hoping that someone could let me know how the camera works after the update, also in anyone has...
Excellent, I appreciate it. I was looking at that thread, but was not sure since it states to only flash the alternate restore if you're on the L4 firmware.
Thanks again,
Thanks for the quick response, I saw that flashing the alternate restore was suggested. Am I good to flash the VRALJB odin files? if so, does this roll the bootloader back to the previous version?
Thanks again, I appreciate it.
I have a quick question for you gents, I have attempted to find the answer to my question, with limited success. My wife will soon be inheriting my Note 2, her only request is that it get reset back to complete stock, while I am no stranger to modifying my device her request has left me with one...
I must have just gotten lucky. It's not a surprise that the rep I talked to didn't know what she was talking about. Thanks to both for clarifying.

Gents,
Many thanks for the responses, I ended up not getting the RAZR HD, the only reason being the camera. I almost didn't upgrade at all as my requirements were good camera, great battery life, and removable storage. I couldn't find a phone on big red that fit all of these that I was...
I had my S3 replaced a few times before finally upgrading to the note 2.
Each time it was replaced I received a brand new in box device. The last time I had it replaced I asked about it. I was told that the S3 is always replaced with a new device due to the cost of parts/labor to repair.
I'm...
Gents,
I have a few questions regarding your phone. I recently left Android as a favor to my wife (switched for an iphone, handing it down to her when I upgrade). I am looking to jump back into Android but have a bit of a tough decision to make.
I've used the Rezound, G-Nex, and the S3, I...
Thanks for the responses, I restored my stock rooted nandroid, was just wondering about the relocking the bootloader in case of an update (didn't feel like losing data with Odin).

Quick question, searched the threads but might have missed it.
I am restoring a nandroid of the stock rooted rom, coming from CM10/PA, once restored back to stock from my nandroid, can I re-lock the bootloader? or should I just odin back?
Thanks,
Forgot to add that I also flashed the stock...
I am in the same boat. Found the silver housing for about $25. I was about to order, until I learned that the LCD is adhered to the housing and basically needs heated and the pried away from the housing. The lcd is about $225. I am a stickler about having a pristine phone, but instantly became...
Just a quick question, can't seem to find a definite answer when searching..
I am on the 3.14 leak, can I run the ph98img.zip back to the 2.11 official release?
I am on the 2.21 hboot and have s-off
Thanks,

I typically end up jumping back and forth between MIUI and CM7, both run fast and are smooth. MIUI is based off CM7, so the performance should be similar.
Although MIUI is much more visually polished, it sometimes seems a bit gimmicky and a bit iph*ne ish. Both ROMs are great, I would say...
I would have to agree, the only real time that I use the trackball/trackpad is in recovery. Only other time I ever use it is to turn the screen back on, instead of hitting the power button.
I want to thank all of you for helping me attempt to make my mind up about this phone. I have an Incredible and a DX prior to that. I noticed a few issues with the device in store (screen quality) but the 4G as compared to my 3G gave me new toy syndrome.
Prior to this week I wanted to wait for...
Just moved back CM7 after flashing MIUI to give it a try. It seems to be a very well built ROM, fast and stable. The one thing that did MIUI in for me was that I couldn't get swype to work. The installer couldn't license the app correctly, I attempted a few suggested solutions but ultimately...
Great news, however..I will wait for the devs to find a root method first and maybe a PB31IMG.zip file as well. I think I'd go crazy with a stock phone.
A big thanks to the devs for all their hard work and time spent. Can't wait to see the updated roms.
my last early upgrade happens the first week of September, at this point there is nothing available from big red that excites me. My next phone must be a dual core LTE phone. but I'm thinking of waiting until November or so, Vigor sounds promising so far.
My DINC still rocks, so there is...
I love CM7, but I hate the stock android camera. I end up flashing to a sense based rom every now and then for the camera but then realize how much I hate sense and revert to CM7. I fear I might be stuck in this infinite loop!
Sorry if this was covered, but if flashing roms based on gingerbread can I still run the pb31img.zip back to stock froyo safely?

Question. I love the Z based roms, but they don't work with my companies exchange policies. Is there any way to push the stock sense mail app to a z based rom?

Great ROM, but i have one question. Z Roms do not support the exchange policies that my company enforces. I attempted to push the old mail.apk from stock to the phone but it doesn't show in the app drawer. is there a way to do this without buying a 3rd party app?
thanks,
I do understand that device is newer and updated beyond the screen and camera, but dual core processors and LTE are going to make the lifespan of devices like this relatively short (IMO). I have no doubt that there are many improvements but I just don't see locking myself into a 2 year contract...
the INC2 looks like a nice device, but it doesn't offer much over the original DINC. 4" screen and a FF camera are not $200 worth of changes for me to switch.
Honestly, most of the phones coming out now are not offering much more compared to the DINC.
The TBolt looks nice but with dual core phones coming (some are already here), phones like the TBolt are going to be outdated sooner rather than later.
I'm holding out until this fall, CM7 will keep...
In past DX updates it has not blocked it, but you would have to re-root. I am not sure about the next update but I assume it will be similar

Official 2.2 is the version that liberty is based off of. doing a factory reset from within the OS will not take you back to factory stock ROM. Did make a nandroid backup before flashing liberty? if so then you should be able to do a restore and you will have a rooted stock rom. If you didn't...
I had issues when connecting to exchange, I ended up flashing back to .340, remember that this is not the final build and moto still has some work to do. Even with that in mind it is still irritating.
You need to ask yourself if you will be happy with the phone for the next two years. I had a droid X but took my wifes upgrade to get the INC, this phone rocks!
With dual core phones already coming down the pipe I can't see the TBolt staying a high-end phone for long.
If you don't think that...
