I've been having this problem since 6.0. The thing is, I can say OK Google and sometimes hear the chirp but the screen doesn't kick on, but it's useless in most cases because I need the screen on to see directions or a phone number for a place I'm looking up. It's frustrating.

The low volume issue was ofr incoming calls and audio playback in general on the device. Recipients on the other end wouldn't notice.

Figured it out. For those of you that have unlocked your radio, to enable GSM to work with this rom, you have yo edit your build.prop file and comment out or remove this line: telephony.rilV7NeedCDMALTEPhone=true and reboot your phone. I was able to connect to T-Mobile and AT&T without any issues.

Just out of curiosity, why would you need to restore the backup of the stock ROM into the 2nd slot only to wipe it before installing a custom ROM?

Yeah the file I removed was the calendar.apk file from the system/app directory.

Yep I'm having the exact problem, the new youtube app keeps prompting me to install the framework, it refuses to install. Rebooting did not fix it. Quite annoying.
