The honor European team normally does beta testing of new software releases, but I do not know what their plans are for honor 5X. I suggest visiting Hihonor.com and it will redirect you to the page for your region the latest info.

What Android Auto unit do you have? I have been using my honor 5X with my Hyundai Sonata and have no issues with Android Auto.

honor 5X will get Android M. Customers in the US will soon be able to sign up for the BetaClub program to help test this new software.

CPUZ does not correctly identify the chip. Please try AnTuTu which correctly identifies the chip as Snapdragon 616.

I do not think the 14 day rule is currently enforced for US devices. I obtained my code right away on day 1 of getting a new device.

Honor 5X supports dual standby, so you can receive calls and texts on both numbers. The Dual SIM Management settings let you pick the primary card for 4G/3G, default mobile data, default calls/messages for 3rd party apps, and call forwarding settings.

My device is encrypted. It went all the way through to the end with the badged Test DPC. Looks like everything works.

Yes, honor 5X supports unlocking the bootloader. You must register an account on the EMUI site and then you can generate a bootloader unlock code.

squashpile, The honor 5X supports LTE Band 12, but the experience will vary from carrier to carrier.
