Hi all, Used to use miui from the start untill they got stuck using kitkat instead of proceeding with lollipop, could not find so quickly if the latest miui for this device is based on lollipop? Any news about mm based? Thanks.

I found the issue, some apps just stop working due to 400dpi. :) any solution for this? weird because i really did not have this issue before and usually am at 400dpi. Maybe due too different gapps package, because i did find a google photo apk suitable for 400dpi. Happy it works again. Thanks

I don't think there is, stops at CM11, at least the official.

I know, but at this moment some apps simply start to fail when try to open, so reflash it is :)

I restored my backup, same trouble also now, weird, i flashed other versions, same problems. I guess something else must be wrong somewhere. Ill go back to stock and reflash. Usualy that solves things.:silly: Thanks

Just FYI So far with V1.9 google photos no longer work, and got random reboots and freezes, especially when auto updating an app and at same time starting up one, or browser/website/google+. These issues were not with previous versions.

Always back to cyanogemod CM12.1 = quick, slim, reliable. Only negative is of course the lack of s pen, but you got some third party apps for that. Used to be great fan of miui, however they are now getting less popular by making their new MIUI 7 lollipop based, which is a sad thing.

True that google is not used regulary due to limited access, but even on the xiaomi phones you can install gapps, no problem on my wives MI4. It is not said it is done on purpose that it does not work, it's surely no priority to solve it.

You can try all in this section, official firmwares... you will loose your root.

Multiple devices have the same problem, like the S3, Redmi, and some others i guess. Try to keep a bit up to date with the Miui forum, which gives no posible solutions so far. I have sent a message to bhflower, see if he knows if anything is happening to solve.

Thanks for your advise ;) I have been in contact with bhflower, and does not look like they are working on gapps fix. surely miui based on lollipop will arive soon since already beta versions on Mi2/Mi2S. As usual ill stay at CM12.1 till someone soves it ;) enjoy your miui.

In that case you have used the ROM that ENIAC implemented with gapps. I have no knowledge what he has done and if that would cause extra battery life. i would try to drain completely and charge and also check the battery options under the security application ;)

If you come from other OS / Rom, sometimes need to get drained and charged to reset the battery stats. You have no trouble with Gapps? otherwise you can try latest 5.6.13.

what version are you using? My experience is good battery life, otherwise try a clean install.

Just FYI 5.6.13 also fails.

You can flash any official firmware you want, as long as its for the N9005....

Didn't work for me, stuck at boot, second time after clean install problems with failing gapps. Back to CM12.1 and wait for more stable rom.

According bhflower gapps is a MIUI problem which they don't intent to fix for the moment, because in china it is not usually used anyway. So 5.5.6. should not change it.
