As I understand it the Android 5.1.1 update from Samsung isn't available in The UK but looks like it is elsewhere. My Tab S2 is still stuck on Android 5.0.2. I'm waiting for Samsung to release it OTA than installing firmware intended/released for a different market. Thanks.

Fixed. I tapped Cancel when it asked for the Encryption password and TWRP loaded. I could then Factory Reset it. I've no idea what caused the data to corrupt when encrypting in the first place but it's working again.

I'd rather stick with a stable ROM that's been signed off and had some quality control applied to it for that very reason. I prefer to just install a ROM and be done with it (maybe upgrading every now and again OTA) :). Like you say otherwise you could be fine (probably) or maybe not...
