Post pm8921_bms_low wakelock after battery low warning

That is strange - I was getting it literally every time at 5% if not before, and I still haven't had the issue once since I last posted, I've kept letting the battery get down to 2-3% each time just to test. Oh well, I'll enjoy it while it lasts! Will let you know if the problem reappears, and...

Post pm8921_bms_low wakelock after battery low warning

Hi again! Just wondering if you have any battery saving apps installed? I had one called Battery Doctor installed, and removed it after installing Arco's kernel as I no longer needed it - since then I've let the battery run down to 2-3% on several occasions without seeing any sudden drain...

Post [RECOVERY][ROOT] Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE (GT-I9195)

Ah, ok - my understanding was that unchecking this option is SuperSu temporarily disabled root access - Root Checker says my device isn't rooted, and the SuperSu options to notify me if an app requests root access are still enabled. If this is wrong I guess I can leave it enabled and just...

Post [RECOVERY][ROOT] Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE (GT-I9195)

Thanks Marchrius (and hello again!) I tried it last night and everything seems to have worked fine - well, I'm getting an error if I boot into stock recovery now, but that may have been there already, I don't know - I guess I shouldn't need to use it for anything anyway. I decided to root...

Post pm8921_bms_low wakelock after battery low warning

Yes, on JB - I thought it might be a battery calibration issue until I saw your post about the CPU (and until trying to calibrate the battery didn't do any good). Would be nice if KK fixed it, although it'd probably be by chance - since I can't find any mention of the bug online except in...

Post pm8921_bms_low wakelock after battery low warning

Not that this will help you any, but seeing as no-one else has responded, just thought I'd let you know you're not alone, and also it's not a problem specific to Arco's kernel - I seem to get the same thing on a completely unmodified S4 Mini. It suffers from the 'battery drain while idle' bug...

Post [RECOVERY][ROOT] Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE (GT-I9195)

Newbie questions! Hi guys I've recently bought a 2nd hand S4 Mini which seems to be suffering from the notorious battery drain issue caused by a bad kernel. I'd like to install the kernel from this thread to fix it, but I've never attempted any custom stuff on a phone before. I've done a lot...

Post Anybody found a good case?

These aren't a bad fit for the G Pad with a case on it (the IVSO for mine). They're just right in length, a little too wide, but certainly nowhere near as much as a 10" case would be. They're available from several sellers on Ebay with other designs if you don't like the ones in the link...

Post ISVO Case Review (Video) (New colors coming soon)

Might be worth exchanging it - I've seen a few people with the same issue, but most of these cases seem to be fine, mine included, so seems more like a quality control issue than a design fault. Chances are you'd get lucky on the second one.

Post [Q] Wifi doesn't start at boot

The issue isn't simply that Wi-Fi is off when the tablet first boots up, it's that it refuses to switch Wi-Fi on until it's restarted a second time, so don't think this would help. ---------- Post added 30th January 2014 at 12:01 AM ---------- Previous post was 29th January 2014 at 11:55 PM...

Post [Q] Wifi doesn't start at boot

Yes, I've experienced it, if by starting up the G Pad you mean from it bring completely shut down, rather than sleeping. Also happens when doing a restart sometimes. As you say, a further restart sorts it out. I very rarely shut the tablet down or restart it though, usually I just let it sleep...

Post ISVO Case Review (Video) (New colors coming soon)

Just tried it, and you're right, the magnet seems to attach quite a bit more firmly that way. With the inside of the cover showing when folded, I could only get it to stand on a hard, flat surface.....your way, I've just been able to stand it up on my bed. Thanks for the tip! The Quick Cover is...

    Post [Q] keyboard cover

I wonder if this app would help - I used it with another bluetooth keyboard and tablet when I had the same issue, though I haven't tried it with my G Pad yet. In my case, the £ sign was printed on the keyboard but despite this it was permanently set to US layout in the software somehow (despite...

Post [Q] random reboots when waking g pad -- any ideas?

I got the same thing on a completely unmodified G Pad last weekend. It happened once, worked ok for a few unlocks, then happened a second time. Each time I had to hold the power button down to force a reboot. It's hasn't happened before or since, so I've no idea what caused it, but I did...

    Post Charging issue

When staying at my Mum's without the G Pad charger, I originally tried charging the tablet with the cable (meant for charging, not just data) and power adaptor (0.8A) that came with a Kindle e-reader - as expected it took ages. I then bought the Amazon Powerfast usb power adaptor (the one they...

I just searched for "LG g pad"....hopefully the address below should work: www.expansys.com/s.aspx?search=LG%20g%20pad

Post Anybody found a good case?

Expansys in the UK are selling what would appear to be the official case (listed as LG Smart Case, brand given as LG, and available in black, white and pink as shown in the pics on LG's website.) Pricey through, at £60, I can't see it being five times better than the IVSO at £13! They also have...

Post Anybody found a good case?

Yes, getting the magnet in the right place is definitely the key. Just got this yesterday and originally thought it useless as a stand, but it's actually extremely stable if you get the magnet to snap into place when folding the front flap up...you'll be able to feel it attaching when you get it...

Post Battery Time - How long does your battery last?

I get, on average, a little over 5 hours screen-on time over two or three days, with the rest of the time on standby (wifi on, auto mail checks happening once an hour or so). The screen-on time is probably about 50% Candy Crush style games, the rest web browsing, email, and messenger. I don't...

Post LG G Pad 8.3 Black or White Poll

I usually hate white in gadgets and will buy almost any colour except white, but the white G Pad is an exception, I think the back of it looks really well with the silvery metal and the white plastic. Still went for the black though, because I much prefer a dark bezel round the screen, and...

Post Anyone know where to buy in the UK

I bought from ASDA because I wanted the black, but the white is available from Tesco Direct at £259. It's also available from Clove (£259) and Expansys (£249), but haven't used either of those sites myself so can't vouch for their reliability.
