Installed this last night coming from xiaomi.eu. So far so good, fast responsive, everything works, lot of customization options and working Substratum.
the only thing I am missing so far is the face unlock, but I can live without it
same here man although I have Chinese 10.4.0 and want to flash eu rom to get rid of all the chinese b....****. Can anyone confirm it is safe?
am I right thinking I need to flash any latest Pie NON ARB xiaomi eu rom and that would do?
just received Mi max 3 with chinese rom. Obviously I have to wait 360hrs to unlock the bootloader. It came with MIUI 10.0.0 stable. Is it safe to flash xiaomi.eu roms and/or Miui PRO roms as I've heard they are only a kind of overlays on the normal MIUI firmware?
will try it tonight. New rom + your usual old lineage kernel settings ;)
thanks
EDIT - so far so good. smooth and blissful. I had to flash November gapps to get it working (recent one ends up in bootloop even after rebooting to recovery).
wow thx. didnt think about that
EDIT - installed but it is not as smooth as previous version (kernel?). I will give it a few days and tweak a bit to check.
Do you have any set for kernel adiutor settings or would using the ones you posted on Lineage thread a while ago would be sufficient?
I find this better than CRDroid in terms of smoothness. No lag and stutter. Miss few options from CR like battery percentage inside the icon or advanced restart but i can live without it.
thx will update tomorrow. magisk working. awesome rom.
update - tried the dirty flash but it reboots after 5-10 seconds of system running and getting really hot. Pretty sure it is a kernel issue as I flashed Pepsy and running fine so far.
I will try clean flash on Monday. Oh and that Magisk...
are you on Pie now? what firmware are you on?
oh and thanks for the battery percentage. apart from that Magisk issue (dont think it is rom related) it is perfect.
thanks for the suggestion but I have both updated. Magisk was working fine on Nougat and Oreo Roms. When I started playing with Pie roms some of them make Magisk unusable. Not sure if this is maybe a firmware thing?
thanks for the update. I will try to reflash Magisk to see if this will help
UPDATE - it didnt help. everytime I try to install the module it comes with data/adb/magisk_merge.img mount failed. Installation failed. WTH?
super fast, no animation stuttering like in other Pie roms. Minuses - Magisk cant install modules and no battery percentage show option. I hope I sort those out and this would be a perfect daily driver
anybody else have problems with installing magisk modules on that rom? shame cause it looks good but ad free YT is a big deal for me.
EDIT: nevermind. reinstalled the rom and works fine.
settings, deeper settings then back. same with bringing the app to the front or coming back home (I use Nova launcher). It is not that of the problem, plus disabling UI animations and setting time to minimum seems to make the transitions smoother. Worse is the deep sleep issue when on call...
anybody can share kernel adiutor settings (governor etc) he or she uses to stop that stuttering? apart from this stuttering, deep sleep issue during call still exists (at least for me). other than that - rom is awesome.
Tried to follow heindrix settings but kernel adiutor only shows six standard governors - no alucard on soda kernel. Rest is set and working flawlessly.
some people still prefer running nougat roms than the crappy oreo and this kernel is a good piece of work so hide your paranoid comments about security, fixes and updates for yourself. Bear in mind you are not the only mi max user around.
this was a bug in nijel's lineage as well but he fixed it - https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max/development/rom-lineageos-14-1-t3529851/post71232684#post71232684
yes. On Helium this is the only way to achieve root although yesterday I had a "SU binary needs to be updated" with no way of updating it. Root however still works so fine for me.
Anybody else on helium not able to flash su? I tried the one posted here, the newest one but still rom unable to boot, stuck on google colored dots. Rom looks promising but couldnt bear without root
had the same when I tried the latest Linegae build. Reverted back (restored from backup) to I believe 21.1.17 (which is the most stable for me) and then flashed Harfix kernel - no problem so far.
please kindly point me some of the working themes. Substratum support is the only thing missing. Rest is perfect, I have no bugs (or maybe have yet to encounter them). Been checking other Helium roms last week (like there are many there ;) (different MIUI's, RR MM, RR N). Not a single one is...
I installed your rom yesterday on my Helium. I'm not the kind of guy drizzling over antutu numbers, just needed a good daily rom for a standard usage (browsing, gaming, playing movies). So far no problems. Everything works, smooth, clear rom without this annoying MIUI crap. Very happy with...
both of the links on wanam page are not working. anybody knows where I can download it? I used it a while ago and got tired of other roms. this was perfect
quick question. I am on 4.04 rooted Gimlo ROM. I want to try JB as my wife's phone is getting pretty slow now. If I update the phone with JB using PC Companion do I risk a brick? Or is it safe? After having 11.02.A.31 I can just follow your guide re: installing this ROM (I'm on locked bootloader)
If this helps : CWM -sr13gx v6.0.2.7.
I've noticed when I tried to reboot while in recovery it warns me that ROM can flash stock recovery after reboot and asks me if I want to fix it. For safety I always take out battery and so far so good.
Believe me, I was also surprised but CWM is present and loads up every time I keep pressing VOL DOWN during boot.
ICS 11.0.A.75, stock kernel and now GIMLO ROM - all on locked UK Orange bootloader.
Ok all sorted.
It appeared that I've already had CWM installed. I must've installed it when rooting this phone few months ago and then updated ICS to 11.0.A.75 . With CWM on board there was no problem with flashing Gimlo ROM.
Thanks everybody
