my personal phone has G955W TELUS firmware QDE cant switch to another carrier orignal carrier was ATT

bout to try that... but it also didnt work on sprint s8 NOT activated same error so maybe the mps_code.dat file is created when it activates on sprint ?

im gonna flash sprint firmware on mine and see if that helps with the mps_code.data error since mine was flashed with the W firmware

like i said i get this error when----> 1. phone was flash to G955W firmware or 2. sprint not activated

flash eng boot.. send adb command.. restart phone it should start with new carrier logo after flash complete firmware for your new carrier BL AP CP CSC and USERDATA

so now that we can agreed that is possible we can now figure out why it doesnt work if phone is not activated like on sprint or when its flashed with W firmware or other none usa firmware

s8 sprint to metro to vzw to att.... also notice that if sprint s8 has never been activated on sprint it will also not work i had a s8 from sprint never activated no sprint logo at startup and it didnt work to switch carrier the eng boots are the ones that jusmejose posted...

eng boots are free here on xda do some search... i have test on g955u flashed with 955w firmware and doesn't work but i can confirm it works on g950u and g955u att/tmobile/sprint/vzw/metro/cricket with there original firmware

it works..... or maybe i got lucky on 27 sprint s8 plus's i have done :laugh:
