I've owned an S8+ since the day it came how, and have ended up having it replaced once. While it was pretty awesome on launch day, it has since deteriorated as terribly as most Samsung phones do after 6 months or so - the animations seemingly are just not even designed to be as smooth or fluid...

Mine's been surprisingly bad - at least, worse than my Moto G5S, Galaxy S8+ or iPhone 8 Plus were. I'm losing like 5-7% every four hours, my battery drain while connected to wifi at work is way worse than either of the other phones mentioned too. All in all it's kind of disappointing...

And tbh, I'd probably even go as far as to say OP phones offer a superior software experience than even Google phones. Which is actually pretty incredible when you think about it.

With all of the display issues with both the V30 and the 2 XL, I'd go with OP5T in a heartbeat. Heck, I'd probably go with the original OP5 over those two phones.

I only turn my phone off once a week, but I've tried pretty much every combination to see if it fixed the problem. Cleared apps a lot, "locked" the problem apps in memory to see if that helped them load faster, etc. Nothing really seemed to make a difference. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I've had that happened when I've done text google searches, and I usually just hit search again and it works. No idea what's causing it. Maybe Battery Saving Mode?

I go back and forth between Nova and the Samsung launcher. Btw, I don't think the Samsung launcher is bad at all. The only thing I don't particularly like about it is the little notification tags and that the files are kind of ugly, but those are minor complaints.

I do love the width of the S8+. I've definitely noticed that having a smaller width and taller phone definitely makes it easier to use than a wide display. However, I personally would rather have a slightly smaller display and the same form factor than having a larger display curved.

Are you sure about that? I've heard from practically every major tech reviewer/destroyer there is that curved edges make the phone less durable, not more so. JerryRigEverything did say curving the corners of a display does help - but you can do that on a flat display too (like the G6).

Having GPS on definitely drains the battery a lot. I could see you losing a decent amount of SOT because of that.
