I have one of these batteries, its about 2/3 the capacity of the stock battery.
I bought it knowing it was not going to be as good as OEM. My wife also has an S5 and easy access to charging, so a lower capacity doesn't impact her. I just borrow her OEM battery when I need to carry a spare for...
Enable 700Mhz band 28 on SM-G906K/S
Hi All,
I am looking at getting a SM-G906K or SM-G906S which support 700Mhz B17.
Here in Australia they are about to rollout 700Mhz B28 soon - Is it likely I can enable B28 support using the qualcomm tool?
I'm assuming its normally possible to enable extra...
Same here, I have just installed better battery stats to see if anything odd shows up.
I also get music skips when the screen is off, setting the min cpu governor to 300 seems to help (maybe that's what's chewing my battery ;0)

UBALK2 is the go for Telstra
Hi All,
For any Telstra customers using a non-telstra 9305 device, I can highly recommend UBALK2.
I was using ZHALI2 modem rom previously and getting dropouts and no data transfer even with good signal strength.
Switching to UBALK2 has fixed both issues.
Cheers.
there is definitely some way it can be turned off - my phone stopped the notifications for some reason, and the only way I could get them back on was to enable page buddy...

Make sure "Power saving" is off
Make sure you havent accidentally activated power saving mode, it makes the phone noticeably sluggish and scrolling skip frames.
Scrolling in most places is jittery.
Its most noticeable as the scrolling text is decelerating, it jitters before it comes to a stop. On 4.1.1 its silky smooth. The SMS messaging app is particularly bad, but even places like system settings are slightly choppy.
I did a full wipe before...
Choppy scrolling vs stock 4.1.1
Hi All,
I tried out this ROM and loved all the customization features I missed from my previous phone running cyanogen.
One thing I noticed was choppy scrolling compared to my previous stock 4.1.1 rom.
Has anyone else noticed scrolling being choppy?
I'm not...
Skip tracks using volume keys when phone is locked
Hi,
Is there any way to enable track skipping using a long press of the volume keys while the phone is locked?
Thanks!
Have you tried rebooting the phone? I once had the media service play up and the keypresses stopped working until I rebooted the phone.
You could also have installed some other software which are capturing the button inputs.
The buttons work over the microphone wires, so its unlikely to be a...
Hi Invade,
What's the name of the volume widget in your screenshot?
Do the volume levels reflect the current settings?
Also, can it work on HTC sense, or is it Launcher Pro only?
Thanks :)
I'm starting to think the stock headset is a very bad design.
The control section with the buttons and mic should have tapered ends where the wires come out so it can't get caught on anything.
I have got mine caught on stuff twice, the second time the wire ripped the pad off the PCB which is...
I tried the "MagicSIM 2008 20th edition" from deal extreme, it only worked when the Desire was locked to GSM mode only.
3G mode didn't work in a Nokia handset either, so I think the switcher was to blame rather than the Desire causing issues.

There is definitely a Varta battery in the magician, I have just opened mine up and removed it :)
Its inside a steel can soldered to the main pcb, you need to pry the top off the can to get to the battery.
The battery is a Varta V18HRT button cell, and has 124 written on the plastic casing...
hi findus,
Thanks for the reply. In the end I created the keys as specified in the install xml file in the wm5 package. works OK, but you have to run the .exe file in the windows directory manually after a soft reset which is a bit of a pain.
Just to follow up , Ive managed to get the o2plus to run on a magician by manually running the "o2p2" program in the windows directory.
The today plugin does not work however.
Can anyone dump out their today registry for the new o2 plus?
Out of interest, does the remote end complain about copious amounts of feedback? My ck-1w connects fine, its the echo at the remote end thats awful. Ive seen a lot of other people with the same issue in forums on the net. Its not related to mic placement, just some incompatibility with the...
