A search doesn't give me much... Is it a known issue to lose root? I've tried 19.1 and 19.3 but both lose root. I'm on Android 7.0. Luckily I had a very recent TWRP backup.

OK, did that. Installed apk, flashed zip. Same problem, device hangs on Samsung logo.

Yeah, but as I understand it, version 88 doesn't work yet on Samsung.

So I put XposedInstaller_3.1.2_Magisk.apk on my S8, then flashed the zip of Xposed 87.3. Now I'm stuck on Samsung logo after reboot.

So it is safe to use Xposed v. 88 on Galaxy S8 with magisk? Is there still need for XposedInstaller by dvdandroid? There the 88 version is not mentioned in the systemless tab.

I've sent it back for exchange. Don't know about "widespread", though. Google doesn't give many hits and my seller told me he'd had nothing similar so far.

Well, did a factory reset. *#0*# doesn't do anything. Neither does LED tester. Or putting it on the charger. This LED is really dead.

I feel this must be a software issue; LEDs don't die that easily. Still, looking at the internet, this doesn't seem to be a widespread thing. But I don't want to go through the hassle of a hard reset before I get credible confirmation. Who's daring enough fully wipe his phone?

I'll join this thread. LED worked fine with Lightflow till a few days ago. LED Tester doesn't do anything either. Firmware is unchanged from when it did work. Mute, vibrate, sound doesnt do anything for me. Waiting for the whiz to clear this up! ---------- Post added at 01:56 PM ----------...

Just got my SM-T580, rooted it and froze some bloatware. Then I couldn't find the regular videoplayer app. I can see it in Titanium, it hasn't been frozen, but not in the drawer. Read that it is sort of integrated with Google's Play Movie & TV so defrosted that, but still no video app. Never...

Yes, it's all accessible through Android. But of course, once I start up Android after step 5f I lose TWRP and have to start over again.

I can get to point 5f. However, I can't mount the SD card. Clicking on it doesn't do anything. Any suggestions? I checked if the card could be read before installing TWRP and the SU-file was there.

After an unsatisfactory year with an LG G4 I'm back on Samsung and it's a pleasure to meet once again wanam, whose wonderful roms I used in the past. Installation of Xposed works great!

SM-G930F. In Settings I have fast charging turned on. The moment I plug in the USB connector the toggle is greyed out and turned off. Unplugging leaves the toggle turned off. Charging is slow: it took 2,5 hrs. to get from 50% to 100%. I do use the cable and charger which came with the phone...

And finally I came along a recent post of someone who had silenced a few ogg-files. But no, even that doesn't work. So I've gone back to Snap Camera, which has a simple option to silence the shutter.

I've also come across the option to edit build.prop and change ro.camera.sound.forced or some other such line from true to false. However, in MM I can't find a line even remotely like that.

Just to give your post a bump: I too would like to know this. Renaming camera-click.ogg and some other files used to do the trick, but now this shutter sound seems unrelated to the files in media/ui. Very strange...

I flashed TWRP for the umpteenth time, then immediately went to TWRP through adb (fastboot boot yourfilename.img) and since then I've had no problem going into recovery.

Ok, this is a final thing I'm pretty sure I can't figure out myself. :o TWRP can't mount my SD card and it says it has 0 Mb. The card is perfectly readable by the system. I've tried FAT32 and exFAT, but it doesn't make any difference. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Another head scratcher: I can't turn on Bluetooth. Through Settings or through top menu, the switch will light up, but nothing happens and no notification icon appears. I've looked at Apps -> System and I see BT twice, one with a sort of settings icon, the other with the BT icon. Is that the way...

So, I've re-established root, all seems dandy, but... it says my 128 Gb card is corrupt. When I tell it to format it starts at 20%, ends at 20% and says all is well. But Settings informs me the card is corrupt. My PC can read it perfectly. Tried formatting it there with FAT32, then exFAT, but no...

Well, yes, that's what I tried first (twrp-3.0.0-0-h815.img). Didn't work, though. It does enter into the 2 questions about wanting to wipe the phone (both yes) but after that no TeamWin or anything. Just a reboot.

I'm coming back, after all. :o However, after installing the rom I've lost root and TWRP. And I can't get to recovery: the two button trick brings me to the android thingy with the twirly thingy in its centre and then it simply reboots. And everything is gone, have to set up phone and account...

But... when I get a call and turn to speakerphone, it works. So the speaker's OK. ???

Well, went to Service Menu with 277634#*#. Tried Ringtone. No sound.

This is the weirdest problem: My phone doesn't ring. My phone makes no sound at all. When I change ringtone in Settings I don't hear the tone I select. When I play a song with a player, no sound. And... the player freezes its timer almost immediately, as if it decides to stop since it can't make...

Well, it worked, going from LP straight to V20D, but can't say MM made me very happy. Difficulty finding the external SD card, difficulties with Xposed and made the stupid mistake to freeze SmartSettings, which meant I had to revert just to get the phone accessible again. I'm staying with LP.

I'm still on Lollipop. Everybody here is coming from 20A or B. Are there any extra things I have to do if I go from LL straight to 20D?

Just to answer my own question, for the sake of possible others who have the same problem, this worked for me: go to TiBu -> Menu -> Preferences -> Backup folder location -> Storage provider (click to change) From there, choose DocumentProvider and choose the root directory of your SD card...

I don't get it: tried changing backup locations, tried changing the thingy in SuperSU, but no go. It says external SD is not writable, while RootExplorer clearly says R/W. Internal SD is writable with plenty space, but still doesn't work. If I uninstall and then reinstall TB, will it still see...

Upgraded to V20B. I had some files frozen in TB in the old rom and now the phone keeps saying "Unfortunately, Smart settings has stopped". Is there a way around this or do I have to revert to the old rom? (can't do much since the notification is constantly in the way)

Strange. I too had this issue with "Always On" not working. Thought I could resolve it with Custom Blink with a high number, as suggested in this thread, but no... "Fully charged" LED is not supposed to blink, but still does. How can it work for some and not for others (me)?
