If you go to red-mod.ru/forum (which is in Russian but chrome will make a good effort to translate it) then you can install an older version for free. Then if you like it, you can pay and get access to the latest version. That's what I did. I think the RedMod firmware is already rooted but...

I have both options switched on and both work fine except for this new stupid sleep mode that quite clearly hasn't been thought out properly. Surely the theatre mode allows people to turn the display off should they need to and for everythimg else it should do what it did before and stay on...

I always take my watch off at work and the screen keeps turning off after 30 minutes. I did a full reset in case it was an overhang from the old version but it's still turning off.

I never changed any power saving options on my phone. As I mentioned, everything was working until I uninstalled watchit to try one of the other notifiers. I looked at the Sony email but that doesn't work on non Sony phones.

Just upgraded and working fine with my Spigen case except for the home button no longer turning sview on.

If Samsung are intending to fix the s-cover problem then they may be waiting for that to be complete before they carry on with the roll out.

I notice that one of the known problems with the new 4.4 rom is that the proximity sensor doesn't work. Does this mean that the screen does not go off while making a call ?

I know what the word unbranded means so no need to highlight it and that didn't answer my question as I asked about the modem not the firmware. Basically you don't know (and can't know) for sure as you don't have the BTU release to compare it to so don't just tell people to install it.

Why would I do that. You just said it's exactly the same so I am assuming you can tell me.

So can you guarantee that the modem in the XEF version is going to be the same as the BTU and contains no tweaks specific for that network ?

I think this may have been asked but just wanted complete clarification. I have a UK bought unlocked S3 that has a CSC of BTU. If I flash this JB version will my CSC stay the same or will it change to XEO ? If it changes, do I need to change it back to BTU ? Thanks

A couple of things I have noticed which may have been mentioned: The clock widget now has a clock for summertime rather than a "1". The weather widget now updates the current location.

Swype have fixed the installer for the S3 which is what I used to install it on my device.

If it is asking for a number, it sounds like you are setting up a WAP connection and not a GPRS connection.
