That probably won't do it. Most HD video is h.264, and the tegra3 has dedicated hardware to handle that. You'd have to use some pretty crappy video software that didn't use hardware acceleration in order to stress the CPU.

I have the exact same issue. Stuck on the android screen. Copied files to /system/framework using root explorer on a dual-boot emmc setup. Stock boot still works, but froyo boot is borked.

I didn't have anything else besides ADB. The only thing I can think of is that android is case-sensitive, and you have to use the exact casing to get to a directory. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. Sorry. That worked. Thanks.
