Post Does wifi calling work on T-mobile?

Got it yesterday and can confirm that yes, wifi calling does work on t-mobile out of the box.

Post Does wifi calling work on T-mobile?

Perfect. Placing order now. My Nokia 6.1 has been a trooper for the last couple years, but I could definitely do with an upgrade - especially with updates ended and patches ending soon.

Post Does wifi calling work on T-mobile?

Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Did you have to do anything special to get it working, or did it just work out of the box?

Thread Does wifi calling work on T-mobile?

I know in the past, the only way to get wifi calling on T-mobile was to buy the phone directly from them with the feature pre-installed. Unfortunately, T-Mobile isn't selling the 4a, so that's not an option. Can anyone confirm or deny whether wifi calling works (or can be made to work) with a...

Thread Possible to extract SMS messages from a RAZR maxx with a broken display?

My friend desparately needs to extract the SMS log from his razr maxx. Unfortunately, he dropped it and the display is completely broken. The phone is unrooted and USB debugging is not enabled. The phone seems to be functional other than the display - the softtouch buttons light up and when...

Post [Q] So are we all keeping our A700, or are we sending them back to Amazon?

Mine is staying. I have no display bleeding or discoloration issues, and while it does get warm, it's never been hot enough to worry me. I don't do much cpu-intensive gaming. The only serious complaint I have is the input lag/insensitivity, and that will (hopefully) get sorted out with a...

Post My A700 Review: Pros, Cons, & Heat

That probably won't do it. Most HD video is h.264, and the tegra3 has dedicated hardware to handle that. You'd have to use some pretty crappy video software that didn't use hardware acceleration in order to stress the CPU.

    Thread [Q] Input Sensitivity Adjustment?

Is there any way to raise the touch input sensitivity? My A700 seems to miss quick taps, requiring at least half a second worth of tap to reliably register the input. Can this be changed?

    Post [Q] CIFS Manager compatibility?

Is this something that requires recompiling the whole kernel, or can you load the module into CIFS manager separately? If you manage to compile the module, can you post it here?

    Thread [Q] CIFS Manager compatibility?

Just got my A700 and it appears the kernel is not CIFS-compatible. I understand there are modules which can be used with CIFS Manager to make it work with non-compatible kernels. Does anybody know if one exists that will work with the A700?

Post [Suggestion] "Off-brand" Android Phone and Tablet Forums

Just to clarify, it would be a space for your Coby and other low-volume devices as well. It should be easier for you to find coby-specific posts there though.

Thread [Suggestion] "Off-brand" Android Phone and Tablet Forums

It seems like there are a dozen new Android phones and tablets coming out every week from unknown manufactures. Most of these are cheap Chinese devices, but they're not all junk, and smaller manufacturers from other countries get thrown into the mix as well. Right now, any discussion of these...

Post Android is starting to become a pain in my ass for this reason.

Did you even read the article? Google can't do anything about it. The carriers have created a situation where a ROM cannot be created without them signing the phone apk. In other words, your verizon nexus already isn't AOSP because some of its core functionality is reliant on custom, locked...

    Post Cheap tablet

I'll second the nook color. If you can get a refurbished one for under $150, it will beat the pants off of anything else in that price range. The display is one of the best at any price, and the build quality is exponentially better than any of the Chinese tablets. You mention flashing custom...

Post JXD S7100 Android Gaming Tablet

Mine definitely does not have bluetooth. Interestingly, it thinks it has GPS, but even after spending 10 very cold minutes outside with the device pointed at the sky, I could not get a single satellite signal. So I suspect that radio is not present either.

Holding various combinations of buttons while plugging in a USB cable to a computer does not work either. Yes, all the buttons work and I am sure I am engaging them fully. This is not my first dance :) The only button that doesn't work on my unit is the recessed reset button on the bottom...

In safe mode, there is a small overlay on the lower left hand corner that says "SAFE MODE", much like with windows. Additionally, all non-system applications are disabled. They do not show up in the app tray. However, non-system apps that you have dragged to the home screen are present and...

Post New Android handheld gaming console

It would appear that my device either does not have a user-accessible recovery mode, or it does not use the standard button combinations. Post New Android handheld gaming console

I'm not sure what I have. My specs don't match the old version or the advertized new version. I suspect I may have received a unit from an intermediary demo batch or some one-off. As you can see here, my CPU is clocked at 1GHz and I only have 314MB of RAM (which is a really odd number). The...

Looks like new G18s are shipping with 2.3.4. Just got mine today, and what do you know, a gingerbread surprise. Edit: And it looks like visionary still works for perm root! Installed root explorer, dropped market3.4.4 in the /system/app folder, and it installed like a champ.

The Mytouch 4G slide claims to have the best camera. I don't know if it's the best, but it's certainly one of the best. Both the physical camera hardware and the custom software are great. Post Microsoft is taunting us...

Probably not the cost-conscious ones. Don't forget, any tablet with Win8 is going to be sold with the MS tax included. An android device with the same hardware is always going to be cheaper. I highly doubt manufacturers will stop making high-end android devices any time soon, so you'll always...

    Post Bricked...

Rules lawyering aside, nobody should feel the least bit sorry for HTC or tmobile if they refund the occasional brick. Yes, the OP played with fire and got burned, but none of that would have happened if the phone had been properly open from the factory. We shouldn't have to do a bunch of...

Post Everything S-OFF - Think tank, General information, Q&A

Basically you would extract a code from your phone, use either a program or website app to do "something" to it, then use a hex editor to re-insert the modified code into a file on a specially prepared SDcard. Booting the phone with this card inserted would magically unlock (s-off?) your phone...

Off the top of my head, to install a CBR/CBZ reader for manga (which is B&W) and a web browser (can't imagine why it doesn't come with one). There are plenty of apps on the market - the real market, not the limited B&N version - that would still be quite usable and useful on an e-ink display...

I'd like to echo the responses above that suggest sticking with CM7 as a daily driver for now. HC is coming along nicely, and I do install the latest on an SD card every now and then to check out the progress, but it's really not "done" enough to use every day. CM7 is. The occasional nightly...

I'm using Win32DiskImager, which had no problem writing the nookie froyo or honeybunches 2GB images. Like I said, both those images were a tiny bit smaller than yours. Perhaps some cards just have slightly different capacities, and I have one of the smaller ones. The next time you do an...

Post Dual boot from internal eMMC (obsolete - use my flashable zips)

I didn't have anything else besides ADB. The only thing I can think of is that android is case-sensitive, and you have to use the exact casing to get to a directory. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. Sorry. That worked. Thanks.

Post Dual boot from internal eMMC (obsolete - use my flashable zips)

This is proving to be harder than I thought. The instructions on nookdevs are tailored to installing on stock, but NF for dualboot is using different partitions, no? Any guide for gapps on dualboot? Do you have a dualboot directory on your card?
