Post Nook HD won't charge in car

Just got my HD+ yesterday, upgraded to v2.1, went to B&N and bought the B&N auto setup, tried a Sprint 12v/110v adapter and it charged from 89% to 95 in 15 min, at idle though. If using the HD+ don't know if it would supply enough power. Jim

    Post [N2E][1.1] TouchNooter 2.1.31

Root and upgrade I reverted to factory setup from an old nooter, upgraded to Ver. 1.1.2 which was successful, except that the "N" button would not bring up the menu, thought I had bricked it, since now I had no menu. Went ahead and rooted (2.1.31), and everything worked fine, except it...

Post [Q] New Nook N2E with 1.1.0, want to root

Updated my rooted Nook touch to Ver 1.1.0, after reverting to factory version as received. Used the two modified files in the SD image, and after the third boot it worked. I get Youtube, Gmail, and Market successfully. Now I cannot install any non-market apps. Somewhere I saw a menu and...

Post [NST] Root/Market & Setup Script Kit

Seemed to work well, takes some fiddling to get the display you want, the Home button on button savior gets you to the android display, the N button to Nook stuff. Once I installed an explorer app, I sideload gobs of free apps easily. Jim

Rooted Nook Touch, now what? I think I rooted my NT, at least I followed directions. Now what, it looks just like it did before rooting. I have Win Vista PC; how do I get ADB and how to connect with the Nook, or do I have to? No new screens or menus on the Nook T. Jim

    Thread Sky Map Location

It seems Sky Map locates itself by WiFi if on, but off it gets lost with no GPS. Rooted NC gets SkyMap, and you can bring up Soft Keys which will give you a menu to set your location, Long. and Lat. JJim

Post My Nook ate my Sd Card

Same thing happened to me, removed the back cover and retrieved it. The two philips head screws under the flap are covered with little decals. Remove the screws, and gently pry the rear cover off to get your sd back. This is what solved the decision whether to root or not since I probably...

    Post [Q] Backup question

Q I installed Titanium Backup and it is driving me nuts, it creates the folder on my SD card, says it's complete, but the folder is empty. I tried just the apps, apps and system, but still the folder is empty. The notification note says complete with the time, but still an empty folder even...

Post Looking into buying a Nook Color

E Bay NC Got a $200 one on E Bay from B&N New, tried booting Froyo from SD. For some reason the MicroSD went in between the back cover and Chassis. Since I had to take it apart to extract the card, and probably voided the warantee I decided to go the auto-nooter route and use the sd for...

    Post [Q] Most Stable ROM?

Format Microsd card Probably should be in Dev. (I can't post there), but simple way to format a SD card with odd folders and usable capacity is use your camera to format it; it's dumb and gives you full capacity and no folders, my Canon uses FAT32. Jim

Post worth the hassle to install froyo on emcc?

Tried the SD nookie-Froyo and it worked fine, but maybe my hardware is defective, the microSD got off track and went between the back cover and the chassis, had to disassemble to get it out. Decided that inserting the the MicroSD very often is a mistake, so I went with auto-nooker and to heck...
