I was getting a Google Search FC trying to use Google Home as my launcher after a dirty wipe (Sprint version if that matters) even though Google Now worked fine. I copied com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox-1.apk from /data/app to my sd card, installed it, and now Google Home works.

I just flashed the link that louched1 posted on MeanBean 3.03 and it worked as described, AOSP recent apps is back and so is the GPS icon. A worthwhile tradeoff in my opinion.

I agree, I would love to see AOSP recent apps thrown into sticky settings. It's much faster and you can long-press to jump directly to the app info. Much easier to disable rogue notifications that way.

I was talking about the same thing, activating it through Sprint. You can be sure that if Wirefly tried charging me $400 for activating through Sprint I'd tell them to shove it because that wasn't in the contract I agreed to.

The $36 gets charged regardless, and nowhere in WF's terms of purchase does it say that you'll be charged if you don't activate through them.

I think you're a little paranoid about WF. I ordered my Evo 3D through WF and activated on Sprint chat a year ago, and I plan on doing the same when my LTE arrives (if it arrives).

While that is Wirefly's official stance, the idea behind it is to protect themselves from losing their commission. Since Sprint doesn't take away Wirefly's commission when someone does an ESN swap, Wirefly doesn't charge you.

It sounds exactly like your headset was out of range. Transmitting audio requires a very good connection, where just seeing that the device is there does not require much at all. If you hold the nook right next to the headset (1-2") you will probably hear the audio.

The streams provided from Netflix and HBO Go probably aren't 1080p to begin with. You can try something like a 1080p video file or an HD Youtube clip and see if the quality is still bad. That may just be a limitation of the Netflix and HBO mobile apps.

If you have Google Voice integration the Google Voice app holds a longer history.

I had a Patriot 16GB class 10 that I replaced with the Sandisk. I had been trying to run a ROM off it for my Nook and kept getting FC's. If you only need it to do things like play music it will be fine, but I wouldn't be installing apps to SD if I were using that.

I just got a 16GB class 4 Sandisk from Walmart last week for $30, so I would say that you should not pay $84 for the same thing. Edit: Just looked into it a little bit more and they claim faster sequential R/W speeds on the Mobile Ultra, I benchmarked mine and don't remember the exact numbers...
