I seem to have solved my battery problem by automatically disabling WiFi when the screen turns off.
Need to run more tests to make sure, but last night the tablet lost 1-2% of battery.
I automated the process by using "Automate". The free version is enough if you don't want to run anything else...
Installed 15.1 a couple of days ago on a brand new T713.
This thing is amazing. The difference in responsiveness is amazing, feels like a modern tablet again!
Fingerprint sensor is slightly worse than stock, but nothing I can't live without.
Tablet does not sleep properly. Even in airplane...
Every time I start considering buying a new tablet, you come along with a new update that makes the TouchPad even better!
The latest version improved responsiveness so much I find myself switching between apps just because it's so smooth!
Thanks man, great work, great work indeed!
Man, I don't know what you've been doing, but keep doing it!
20150221 got rid of a lot of delays across the board, especially when switching apps.
Every time I flash an update I get a bit closer to the perfect tablet.
Also, I just switched from Chrome to Ghostery, you people should try it...
Nice work, this works surprisingly well, all things considered!
Unfortunately it's neither fast or stable enough compared to 4.4.4 to replace it.
Keep up the good work though, I'm sure you'll get there :D
One word sums it up nicely:
Awesome!
I'm running the hybrid on Omni nightlies with no issues whatsoever. The standby battery life is amazing! Best kernel so far, by far ;)

Superuser works very well with Omni.
I use FlashAfterUpdate to flash it automatically after each Omni update, along with Devil kernel and my density script.

Had the same issue, solved it with a flashable zip and some simple sed magic:

You do realize you can actually skip an update, right? xD
Asylum Omni really pushes the limits of our Note 2, enough to skip the next generation of devices.
Fixes every day, surprise new features every week (or sooner). Don't stop, please!
Thank you developers :)
Well that explains the SOD I just experienced... OP says something about the mic being the reason of the SOD, but I haven't gone through the whole thread yet, so you probably know something I don't :)
Meh, 3.4 seems really smooth. Nothing to do but wait I guess at this point.
Is it possible to enable higher CPU frequencies in your future builds?
3.4 does feel smoother than 3.0, but the CPU can give so much more, it is really a shame :)
Keep up the good work!
I have to say, I'm impressed!
Devil 1.9.7 combo'd with Asylum Omni has resulted in the best standby battery usage I've ever seen on this device.
Data and sync on, using Greenify for Facebook:

210 DPI is surprisingly nice. I usually set it to 252, but I think I'll keep 210 for a while, our screen can take it and the real estate gain is awesome!

This is definitely broken in Note's CM 10.2.
I used to talk and surf and/or tether all the time with my S2 on the same provider (3G/H/H+) :)

The last few nightlies have been awesome for me. No crashes, everything is working as expected.
Battery life is not as good as CM9 yet but I'm sure that will improve over time in new builds :)
Keep up the good work devs :D

Thanks for the release Wanam :-) I tried it briefly and it works well.
Unfortunately Samsung's mods suck. They were fine in GB but CM9 is much, much better.
Also, what's with that huge font! Those things are readable from 1 meter away FFS.
Anyway, thanks again, going back to my CM9 for now...
A bit of feedback on my CM9 experience and a summary for new users:
01062012 is as good as it gets:
+++ the good
+ videos play. they have weird colors and a green line but they work
+ games and other stuff that has video intros work because of the above
+ Phone and SMS work (KP8 modem)
+ 3G...
We can only hope. I was fine with Samsung's GB, but after testing their ICS and CM9 I have to admit, CM9 is cleaner and prettier (at least compared to what we've seen from Sammy so far).
It's also in a suprizingly good state, my only real issues at the moment are the lack of video...
Tried both, KP8 is un-usable, mainly due to the gazillion FCs.
CM9 on the other hand is nice and I've kept it, but the lack of video worries me... the moment I need to take a short clip I'm restoring GB :)
I bet people would be happier if the Changelog had undetectable fake entries:
- Fixes that should improve battery life
- Patch that may fix video playback
...
Some people in here are acting like little kids - expecting everything for free, here and now, satisfied with nothing.
It's a wonder...
That's not true at all, I just restored all my major apps with their data successfully using Titanium Backup :) Was a bit reluctant at first because everyone is saying not to, but it worked fine.
Have to say I'm impressed with CM9, it may be labeled as experimental, but sans the weird video...
I gave kp8 a spin... It is fun, but nowhere near a daily driver for me.
Issues I encountered:
- Wifi disconnects after a while
- 3G is unable to hold a connection with screen off, so no streaming radio
- Random FCs and instant reboots across the board
- Can't set custom wallpapers. This is...
hardcore, I've been wondering,
How hard would it be to have two profiles, one for light usage and one for games, that could be changed on the fly (either manually or through some daemon checking what is active)?
Your main releases are good all-rounders, with good battery life and good gaming...
Yes, my old xperia x10 lagged all the time. But my custom-ROM-running sgs2 doesn't lag. Yes, I've had an iPhone 4 for 8 months so I can compare them.
IMHO, lag is mostly placebo and expecting too much these days. Ugly code can cause the UI to stutter on every platform, including iOS.
# Galaxy...
It's cool, everyone can have a bad day. Especially with those data rates
Coming back to apologize can be hard, thanks for that :)
Sounds good, flashed it to give it a try.
By the way guys, I just found out that Google is celebrating 10 billion market downloads and is offering 10 apps...
You should really stop editing your past posts in order to use them as excuses for your future replies :D
It's funny how people manage to have (usually irrational) demands for things that exist only because someone dedicated his time and effort without expecting anything in return.
I'm done...
What the... are you really asking for <worse> support?
What do you expect to gain from comments like this, besides demotivating
the guy who is spending his free time for you?
Seriously, if you don't like the updates, don't flash them, no one is forcing you.
MrPhilo,
I see you've switched to void.echo. Are you positive you're getting more battery with it? It was smooth as hell for me, but battery-wise... meeeh... can't say I was impressed :)
