I gave up the system partition try. AdAway does the job, I don't need to manually modify the hosts anymore.

I successfully rooted my redmi note 9. Download rom from xiaomi website, extract boot.img and vbmeta.img from the rom, patch boot.img in Magisk Manager. Original vbmeta.img from the rom works. The question is now, how can I replace the hosts file in system partition? It is read-only.

Flashed the one with gapps, but no face unlock option. Is there any way I can add this feature? Thanks.

Can you please check if video recording works on Bless GSI? It doesn't work on HAVOC 3.7, audio is fine.

You have to put sim cards in before the initial boot. I gave up because too many bugs.

No face option here. Maybe the rom only includes pico gapps. I saw somewhere that face unlock feature is in nano and above version, if so, developers please include nano version of gapps on next release. My Umidigi F1 has issues flashing gapps.

twrp for F1 doesn't have 'system' option for image installation. Tried fastboot method, it worked. It's a shame that open gapps doesn't work.

I have stock rom + unlocked bootloader + twrp. If I want to switch to treble rom, can I just flash system.img (without preloader and twrp) in sp flash tool? Thanks.

Second SIM can only do 2G if you have two SIMs.

CM13 for Max is out in the Chinese MIUI forum.

Thanks for this. The stock camera's 2 pictures per take (HDR mode) is very annoying. BTW, power button won't take photo, just locks the phone. Sent from my kenzo using XDA-Developers mobile app

Couldn't find HDR option in open camera.

Any chance to mod the snapdragon camera to only keep the HDR picture instead of keeping two (one being HDR, another being normal) when shooting HDR?

I had the same problem. Full wipe in TWRP, and then factory reset again after first boot. Battery was back to normal.

most of the roms are in zip format, you just put the downloaded file into you sgs2's internal sd, reboot to cwm. with the tar format, you need odin to do the job.

try different rom and kernel. I have been using neat rom for few weeks, battery results are nearly the same as 2.36.

Just realize that I can use my Logitech remote cable to connect the galaxy s2 to the computer. It's nice. I forgot my Samsung cable at the office.
