If you want native call recording and dont't want unlocking\flashing and so on - buy K20 Pro. CN Miui has this feature. If you will buy Mi 9t Pro you will need to unlock it and flash xiaomi.eu, for example, to have call recording feature.
Still unable to install any custom ROM.

2. flash twrp
3. full wipe, format data, reboot to twrp
4. copy rom and gapps, flash them, reboot

After flashing rom and gapps try format data once more time and reboot to the system. As I read on xXx thread:
- If you select Encrypted there are several steps involved as android initially MUST be booted with a fresh formatted data partition. This means nothing should be stored on the data...
