Thread Bootloader relocks after 8.0 update?

As the title states, anyone else have the boot loader relock itself after the update? I still have my unlock code from when I first bought the phone but it just sucks that basically I lose all my stuff which was the reason why I unlocked it in the first place. It is what it is though

So I checked the system update button and I still haven't received the emui 8 ota update but it is available the L24 on firmware finder for download for anyone of you who might have messed up their system files. Maybe you can now get back on the right track using that

Post U.S.A. 7X Owners Who Remained Vigilant And Stock Are About To Get Rewarded !

Yeah exactly the same reason as the post above mine. I unlocked the bootloader the day I got the phone so that way when the time comes to do any rooting or modding I wouldn't have to wipe my phone and lose everything. And I've still received all the ota updates on the L24 thus far with the...

Post Firmware stock by honor 7x us. Version L24.??

The only problem with that is that it's still a backup made with twrp so that means the recovery isn't stock right? Which means still won't be able to take ota updates right?

    Post Bloatware

Not exactly. Facebook came pre-installed and can't be removed iirc. I went through and disabled every app I didn't use. Basically what it does when you disable a pre-installed app it resets the app back to factory version then disables it. Below is two screen shots. One of the pre-installed...

    Post Can't find original post

i'm not 100% sure but i think in order to boot twrp using "fastboot boot" command you have to specify, according to "fastboot help" , it's something like "fastboot [kernel] [ramdisk] boot [xxx.img]" and in other posts i see it being written as "fastboot -c "lge.kcal=0|0|0|x" boot <path to...

Post Lock bootloader and restore recovery

Nope. I have an unlocked bootloader and I just got an OTA yesterday. Installed with no problem. The twrp is a definite reason why one wouldn't be able to install ota and I'm not 100% sure but I think that being rooted is another although I've read conflicting stories about the root part.

Post Lock bootloader and restore recovery

I'm pretty sure the only stock firmware that has been released for this device is the Chinese variant. If you're on the L24 variant like I am there is no way to get back to stock of you rooted and installed twrp unless you made your own backups.

Just to let everyone know I have an unlocked bootloader and I was able to install the B140 update that came through. I haven't rooted or installed twrp yet until the L24 releases the stock firmware but as another user stated you can remove some of the third party apps. The ones that Huawei made system apps that can't be removed without root are the ones that would give problems with the ota like the stock...

People like to root and mod their own devices for their own reasons but you're right, a lot of the reasons I modded past devices was because the roms almost always ran better than stock but the 7x imho runs great.
