    4G release is a newer phone. I got the code for my Moto G (2014, XT1069) also. But Motorola has blocked it for older phones. Maybe to force us to buy a newer one. My mother´s XT1033 gets always the "not eligible" message. Anyway I don´t have it with me now, but I will try your hint. Thanks!

    theroot dot ninja works only till 5.0.1. My mother´s Moto G is at 5.0.2 :(

    No Luck I have tried all the hints here for my Mother's Moto G XT1033 and NO LUCK at all. Motorola has blocked it? Anybody knows a workaround? Thanks!

    I have solved my problem by disabling A-GPS: Settings> Location Services> Use wireless networks (unchecked). Now it fixes inside my home also.
