Post 'dm verify not started in enforcing mode'

Just download the nougat ROM from Wileyfox, they will send you a link if you ask them. Then you can flash boot and system (and if you like all other partitions and radios) and it will then be on nougat and working correctly. Scott

Post what is your battery drain on aeroplane mode

Looks like my new phone has the fault as well. Something causes the phone to use 2% per hour over and above normal use. Probably a sensor stuck on and using power. I will return this phone as well and give up on Wileyfox. Scott

Post what is your battery drain on aeroplane mode

Thanks for the reply. I returned my phone and got a new one. Old one drained 2% an hour. The new one drained 1% in 7 hours last night. So I think the old phone was faulty. Hopefully the new one doesn't develop the same fault. Scott

Hi, Re the GPS/location icon. I noticed the same issue. Seems to happen if the location is on 'device only'. Switching to one of the other location modes and rebooting 'fixes' the problem. Scott

Post [HELP THREAD] Ask any questions [NOOB FRIENDLY]

Hi, Has anyone noticed a 1.5%-2% drain per hour when in airplane mode. It seems to happen if I have played with google maps and have maybe used GPS. Can anyone perhaps do some playing with their phone, ie use GPS etc, then switch to airplane mode overnight and see what drain they get please...

Post [HELP THREAD] Ask any questions [NOOB FRIENDLY]

Hi, The vibration on my swift 2 is very 'quiet'. I can not feel the vibration when in my pocket, I can hardly feel it in my hand. Can you let me know if your phones are similar or if my is maybe a bit faulty. Regards, Scott

Thread what is your battery drain on aeroplane mode

Hi, On marshmallow and nougat with no user apps installed, ie 'factory reset' I have noticed I sometimes get excellent battery, eg I lose pretty much just 2% in an 8 hour period. However sometimes it is 2% per hour. It is not an app causing this, no wakelocks that I can see. It seems like...

Thread vibration of swift 2 plus very weak

Hi, How do you find the vibration on the swift 2 plus. Mine is very very weak. In fact it sounds lime a mosquito buzzing with pretty much no actual vibration at all. I'm wondering if it is normal or not. Thanks, Scott

    Post Official nougat OTA?

Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the news feed that is on the Foxhole launcher when swiping right, ie an option to just turn it off. Also I assume it is possible to just 'disable' Trucaller and a lot of other bloatware without rooting? Regards, Scott ---------- Post added at...

Post Tricky Idle battery drain problem

Clearly that is not the GPS bug. Read the thread rather then jumping to conclusions. For a start the GPS bug means roughly 1.5% per hour drain.

Post [INDEX][Osprey][Merlin] Moto G Factory Firmware Images

Leaving the bootloader unlocked can be a potential security issue, you can Google it to find out why. I believe if your phone was stolen it makes it easy for the thief to access your data. However I never relock mine as if my phone was stolen the first thing I would be doing is changing...

I didn't know that about Samsung and LG as I have never had one. So I have also learnt something :)

    Post Bootloader gone?

Hi,I meant for your first attempt at flashing back stock when your bootloader was OK. CM is just a new system image, you didn't need to even attempt to reflash a bootloader. Even just using twrp to restore the system image alone would have got you back to stock.
  16. S

    Post Bootloader gone?

It won't help you now, but technically all you needed to do to get back to stock was flash the system image files (and maybe the kernel if CM comes with its own kernel). You didn't even need to attempt to flash anything else. Its OK following guides but be aware that they aren't fool proof.

Post Lights on the Power and Volume Button

So if its not a defect it means its supposed to be like that. To me it looks like it was done on purpose due to the location of the light. So agree with the poster a few posts back.

Post What case do you use for Moto G 2015 ?

Does the official Motorola flip case have a magnet and if so does anyone know if the magnet is too strong. I read the older cases for older versions of moto g's affected the compass.

Post Couple of things i've noticed.

On my moto g 1st gen I used xposed module APM+ (advanced power menu plus) which allows power button customisation but don't know if this is available for 3rd gen.

Thread Official 3rd gen case - does it have a strong magnet

Hi, Has anyone got an official Motorola case and if so does it have a magnet in it. I read that cases for older moto g's had a magnet so strong that it affected the compass. I wondered if 3rd gen cases had the same issue. Thanks.

Post Couple of things i've noticed.

Power off option is all you get with lollipop. Its normal - another stupid decision from Google. However I don't think reboot was an option on KitKat either, but aeroplane mode was.

Post Moto G3 XT1550 less internal storage 11.81 GB out of 16 GB

You are also talking about just a 112MB difference between your phones internal and the other phones internal space. I appreciate its annoying that there seems to be a difference, but I wouldn't worry about 112MB.

    Post 8gb internal storage solutions

System apps, ie those that come with the phone such as google movies, live in the system partition. If they are updated then the update lives in the internal storage. Uninstalling via titanium will of course free up both system and internal storage space. However just disabling them will be...

Post Moto G Unboxing + AMA

Regarding the 20% lost on moto g 1st gen during the night on airplane mode (1.5% per hour to he precise). That was (still is) due to GPS chip staying awake even after GPS is switched off. Its known issue that Motorola refuse to acknowledge. I would hope 3rd gen does not have this issue. But...

Post How to root MotoG3 (with all of its variants!)

Post US Moto G First Impressions, AMA

Good question, seems pointless to have an 8GB model. People who need space will use SD card anyway. People who need less space surely need at least 16GB model. I plan to buy 16GB as I know its enough space for me, but 8GB is not. And why would I want just 1GB memory, may as well future proof...

    Post Post your battery life/stats

Hi, it must be an app keeping the phone awake too much. Root the phone and install wakelock detector to see what's causing it. Its not WiFi or LTE that would be the cause alone unless you have the weakest signal known to man.

Post Tricky Idle battery drain problem

The drain happens once GPS has been used, never any other time. Earlier in the thread other users have noticed the battery pulling more charge once GPS has been used. No software issues are seen, ie phone sleeps as normal, no wakelocks.
  35. S

Post Tricky Idle battery drain problem

No, I don't see that. If it were the case then the phone would also show as being awake in the battery stats which it doesn't. The drain also happens only when (and after) GPS has been used.

I have purchased a second hand XT1032 from eBay about a week ago. It looks like it was originally locked to Tescos but is now SIM unlocked. Apart from that its identical to my original phone. I have used TWRP to backup my original moto g and restored it to the eBay moto g. So both phones...

Post Tricky Idle battery drain problem

OK, I looked closer, now I can see the drain happens quickly at the start of airplane mode then it flattens out for most of the time. That isn't the GPS bug then. With GPS bug it drains constantly. Not sure what it is then, very odd as phone shows its not awake. But must be some app draining it...

Post Tricky Idle battery drain problem

You need to figure out if this drain starts only once GPS has been used. Easiest is: 1. Switch off GPS and reboot. 2. Use as normal but do not switch on GPS. 3. Airplane mode overnight and see if drain happens. If it does then its not GPS. If drain doesn't happen then switch on GPS and use...

Is it the same issue, can you tell us: 1. Amount of drain per hour in airplane mode? 2. Any wakelocks? 3. What does battery screen say is using the battery? 4. Does a reboot fix it?
  48. S

Post Tricky Idle battery drain problem

I'm really keen to know if lollipop fixes it, I haven't updated yet. Can you do the normal test, so use GPS a lot then put phone in airplane mode overnight and see if it drains roughly 1.5% per hour. May take a few days to recreate the issue by playing with GPS so just being OK for one night...

Post Tricky Idle battery drain problem

I would think from what you describe that its a different issue. I can easily recreate my drain by using GPS, from that moment on I lose 1.5% per hour over and above what I normally use.
