    Is your Moto G definitely 2nd generation? Maybe you should have bought the screen for XT1032? Did you carefully lift up the little lever on the ZIF socket? And then press it back after fitting the ribbon end? If the lever breaks then it won't work.

    XT 1032. Latest Lollipop, does everything fine except . . . Sees the SIM when entered and calls for a restart but then shows No Sim. Tried everything that I can think of without success. Suggestions welcome.

    Try the UniversalADBDriver - I had the same problem before installing it. See #31 for a link.

    Thank you. I left the phone on its charger for an hour or so, the battery is full and the line has gone. It'll be interesting to see whether it returns as the battery discharges.

    Just ran the offered Lollipop update and now there is a pale 4mm wide band running down the centre of the screen. Anyone else get this? I can restore the previous setup unless there is a simpler fix leaving the update in place. Thanks in advance for any help.
