    Both, when I flash custom 2.3.6 ROMS, I always have to restore my stock boot.img. There is obviously some differences in the models, just don't know how to make cm10 work as there is no kernel for me to use..?

This will create a backup on your SD card under " clockworkmod -> backup -> date " in this directory there will be a file called "boot.img" which you will need to copy and use to replace the "boot.img" in the ROM...
