I don't believe 400mb FREE ram is possible on the nexus s. With some kernels you can get a little over 400 TOTAL ram.

+1 on this. Just switched from CM to Strawberry and it is much much smoother. Also flashed Marmite 6.7.9 and it got even better. Not sure about battery life just yet but it seems comparable to CM.

I'm running version 4.4.11 for today to test it out and something totally weird happened. My battery as at about 65% and I opened the Facebook app on my phone. All of a sudden the screen shut off and wouldn't come back. I waited maybe 30 seconds and pulled the battery. When My phone came back...

I keep trying the new releases but I keep going back to 3.5. Stable, pretty smooth, and best batter life (for me).

Do we still need to toggle wifi to enable IDLE2?

3.5 I'm still rocking v3.5 and I'm seeing some pretty awesome battery life with moderate usage. deadline/ondemand 200/1000. pretty darn smooth as well. i also have deep idle enabled with no problems.

Bedalus vs Matrix So I put Matrix 22.5 cfs through the paces and I gotta say - I find bedalus to be a smoother experience overall. To each his own I guess.

Jelly Bro + Bedalus Hey guys, I'm running this with the latest version of the bedalus kernel. It screams! I highly recommend this combination. I was using the weekly version of Air Kernel up until last night and switched. bedalus is actually a lot smoother.

Just flashed the preview and SP1. Did a full wipe before doing so. I'm still getting the red frame occasionally and a little bit of lag here and there. Am I missing another zip that's not in the opening post?

Got past the welcome screen with the 4 corners trick and it's pretty cool. I don't know about all of you - but I'm not getting a super smooth buttery experience. In fact - it was quite laggy. I'm assuming it's due to the fact that it's an sdk port! Cool preview though and kudos to the devs.

I got it to boot - but the setup wizard kept crashing and I couldn't get passed it.

Thanks for the suggestions! I will definitely try eliminating the swap on my sd card. I have plenty of room on the SD card and don't need it. I'll be giving this rom another try over the weekend.

Hi there. I decided to test out this build a little bit. It's insanely fast! I only noticed one problem so far. When trying to view sd & phone storage info in settings I get a FC.

The only problem I found while using 0.6.2 was that foursquare wouldn't install via side load and I couldn't find it in the market.

I've been running 0.6.2 with the kernel update for 2 days now and have experience NO issues. Thanks Kali.

Why don't we have him do a system dump or get us the files to make initramfs? I'm not super knowledgeable about this stuff but shouldn't that give us what we need to flash our U.S. Cellular CDMA Desires? PS - The USCC version has the silver colored brushed metal AND the red accent on the camera.
