Anyone tried this yet? I'm currently using the UAG navigator case but have been thinking about switching to this.

So it ended up being the sim card. I went to sprint and left my phone with them for an hour and a half and they figured out the update corrupted my sim card, replaced it and I've got 4g again.

Well I meant do you think it would be possible to stay on mja, jand ust flash the mf9 modem to fix my signal issue. I wasn't sure if that was possible with our phone or not. I never should have taken the mja update in the first place.

My last phone was a nexus and I could flash different radios with no problem but I wasn't sure if it's doable for the galaxy as well. If I could stay on mja and use an mf9 modem that should fix my signal issues but I thought I'd check here before attempting so I don't brick my phone lol.

I'm on sprint. I woke up this morning to the notification for mk2. It was only a 26mb file so I doubt the update was anything too major, I just thought I may as well update to see if it would fix my signal issue but no luck.

I also tried updating to mk2 but that still didn't solve the signal issue. I may just take the phone to sprint and see if they'll do anything about it.

Updating prl and profile had no effect. Would it be possible to root and stay on mja but use the mf9 modem? Thanks for the help btw, I appreciate the info.

So I decided to take the update to 4.3 and since doing so I went from 3 to 5 bars of 4G to none. I either have 3g or no data at all. I'm not rooted yet and did a factory reset but nothing changed. My question is could I root and flash the last modem before mja or should I just go back to 4.2...

It worked for me. But the weird thing I'm seeing is my phone is getting random reboots and occasionally will reboot but stay on the google screen with all the buttons lit up. I did a clean install with a 5x wipe of cache, dalvik and system. I've tried upping the voltages and different...

Nope, just trying normal 3g. It says the hotspot is active but it's almost like it's just not broadcasting. I'm gonna try to manually put in the ssid to see if it is in fact just not broadcasting but if that's not it then I don't know what the problem is. Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk 2

Hmm if loaded this yesterday and while I knew the wifi tether app wouldn't work, I couldn't get the stock wifi hotspot to work either. It says it turns on and is running but none of my devices show its there. Anyone else have this problem? Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk 2

Who cares if there are multiple roms that are aosp or somewhat alike? Some devs do things differently than others and some people prefer some devs over others. Personally I think it's awesome to have multiple people continue to make things for our phones, and I don't blame them for wanting to...

HaxSync is a very good app to sync your facebook contacts.

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but from page 53 it sounded like you included gapps in this build, but gapps is still listed in the op. Do we need to download the separate gapps package and flash with the rom or are they included?

I know people have stated that there is no x or clear all for the notifications but I have one. I'm not running weather or the apps tab in the notification bar and when I get a notification is get an X to clear all. Just thought I'd throw that out there. :) Sent from my Nexus S 4g using Tapatalk

To be honest I didn't try it again after I got it off. I had just heard there were traces of 4g around where I was so I was gonna see if I could pick it up. No big deal though as I never have 4g anyways.

Strange, wonder what's up with it then. Its continued after a reboot. Pull down once and gps is on, pull down again and its off. Same for if the toggles are what's open in the notification or the notifications tab itself is what's open on the pulldown.

I've figured out the gps thing. Pulling down the notification bar once toggles the gps on. Pulling it down again toggles it off and so on and so forth over and over. Sent from my Nexus S 4g using Tapatalk

You do have selective choice on which toggles to show in the notification bar.

Hmmm the only thing I've noticed is that my phone keeps turning gps on. I'll turn it off and a short time later I'll check the toggles in the notification pull down and it'll be on again.
