I can confirm this. Sme behavior for me. Somehow,it also removed the password to boot Android. My phone still show as encrypted but is not asking the password anymore to boot, which is weird.

1st time it bootlooped, I got the screen "Android can't boot, retry or factory reset?". I pressed retry and it booted. The only bug I'm facing is reboot from the power menu is not working, it never boots (bootloop). Shutdown then start the phone work perfectly. I can live with that

You're right about permissions, this was just a precaution to make sure that this was not the problem. I actually haven't checked which was the default permissions on other files and so on, as I was doing this at work ;) But this is obviously need to be improved and probably 777 is not needed...

It's supposed to clear cache filesystem. One stupid thing is that it's doing it twice, 3 = free pagecache, dentries and inodes, while 1 = just free pagecache. Anyway, don't know if it's a good thing, cpu will have to run faster to rebuild cache after clearing it...so more battery comsuption...

Is it dev's fault if you don't know that before flashing any rom, you have to make a backup ? Nobody forced you to flash this rom man. Better to stick to stock rom if you don't want this kind of things happens , or if you don't know how to backup.

Yes, I also set min CPU @ 200Mhz, and I don't have problems anymore playing music. But I'm not sure it's the best setup regarding battery life..(ie I'm not sure there is benefit using diddle if the cpu must run faster)

Latest Kernel working great so far ! Just noticed that with DIDDLE ON, when I play music (with PlayerPro), sometimes the songs stop by itself, or skip the track and start the next one. Didn't happened further with DIDDLE OFF, but have to be confirmed, I haven't tested much time....
