Well my phone was plugged in charging while I did the reset and setup. It's showing 93% right now. That is plugged into the wall or the computer. No idea about this. Can I go back to KitKat and not upgrade to Lollipop till they fix it. I see no benefits to Lollipop over KitKat.

Wicked 9.1 works great for me. Put it in stock slot data text phone email wifi mobile data all work.

Yes I wiped the stock slot. Was I not supposed to do that? I really didn't want to run out of slot1. I was not concerned with having stock on the phone hence me not loading slot1. Ok so I will follow those steps in that post. I assume I will have to reroot once I do this

guut13: no recovery can't use an update.zip so I guess I need to odin the recovery and boot and see if that brings it back to life. Why did SS do this to me? Is the wipe I did incorrect or what? It shouldn't have wiped the recovery. This is all confusing to me.

Well it seems that no one had any idea about this issue. I talked with a friend last night and he said flash TWRP to the newest. I did flash the newest TWRP and it fixed this issue. Camera works as advertised when I flashed a ROM

Only issue I had was forgot how picky Odin is about cables. Used a monoprice one and it Odin wouldn't see it. Used the stock cable and all was good. Tablet is rooted and am in the process of debloating it. Thanks very much for this. We all appreciate it.
