Same issue here when using corporate (activesync) against either Hotmail or Gmail. I can get close to 20 hours when sync is "manual", but 4 hours when "push". Even setting to "1 hour" doesn't help much - the phone dies by lunch. The workaround is therefore to manually sync - sort of annoying...
