I think that was it. I wiped 'EEEVERYTHIIIIIIIIIINNNNG' and re-did the installation process without opting for multi-window and now the animation is as it should be. ? Cheers!

Nah mate, I haven't touched any settings. I booted up the ROM for the first time and that's how it was. Just checked and all the animations are set to '1'. :/
