Bumping the thread. Can anyone explain what is causing this issue? It's been driving me BONKERS.... It's followed me through RUU'ing (the pre-rooted 5.0.1 RUU by dottat - thx!) and across ROMs (stock/DigitalHigh GPE/CM12.1) The behavior is like this, for example - I'll format partitions...

Do a factory restore. I had the same issue the other week, RUU doesn't fix it. Doing the factory restore did the trick....

Sure enough, I borked my phone (recovery, everything) between posting that and now. I had to flash your recovery since I can't get to the normal TWRP website from my current location. Your recovery works great!

time zones I'm in Eastern Standard Time. Normally -5 GMT, it is -4 during DST. Checking the DST box doesn't do anything right now. So TWRP 2.8.5.0 doesn't seem to be respecting daylight savings time... OR the dates it is programmed to respect DST are incorrect. Anyone else?

I seem to be able to get them to send after setting this, but still getting that damned toast message. Poking around the CM forums though, they're definitely aware of it. Search for APN on the main page, it was the top thread in 4 different forums at 3:20PM EST http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/

MMS is still broken with the "No APN specified on device" toast message. 3/7 build clean flash, stock messaging app. EDIT: No MMS sending in Hangouts either... and attempting to send an MMS crashes Whisperpush.

3/3 is when they introduced all the MMS/telephony updates, go grab an earlier one from get.cm

I tried to go backwards with my messages; I restored my 3/4 messaging storage to a 2/27 build and it created all sorts of havoc....

Go back to 3/2 or earlier. I had the same issue. Don't try to restore your messaging storage from your current build.... it'll break the old ones, at least that seemed the be the behavior for me.

More information. I took a backup of my broken 3/4 build, and then restored back to my last working nandroid from 2/26. No problems, but then I restored the messaging storage directly from my broken 3/4 nandroid. My system went wild, android.process.acore and com.android.phone crashing...

Attempting to display existing MMS messages crashes Messaging. Attempting to receive new MMS messages fails, and triggers the "No APN specified on the device" toast message. EDIT 3/4 build of course

I've been getting brutally bad battery life on 1/1 and 1/2. Haven't clean flashed in a long time, admittedly. We'll see how 1/4 goes. EDIT: This was due to some bug (gallery? not sure what program) endlessly generating thumbnails... No idea just how many it created, i stopped loading the...

I found this thread searching google for an answer. Also can't sign in. Glad to see I'm not alone...

Was able to fix the issue by wiping the phone completely (including internal storage!), installing Bean's ROM, doing a factory reset, then coming back. FWIW I always wipe internal storage when going back and forth between 4.1 and 4.2+ roms, seems to alleviate any SD card issues that can arise...

Yep, hopefully sooner rather than later! Then we can get some 4.3 ROMs based off of the official release! Not sure if that will give the AOSP roms additional code to integrate as well, but I suspect it might.

Bump... also having this issue. Trying CM 10.2 for the first time since August. It had Bluetooth issues back then, so I've been running Bean's ROM until yesterday. Can't get 4G serivce in what is absolutely a saturated 4G area... :(

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I think you're referring to flashing something that undoes the changes 4.2 and up roms make to your SD card, compared to 4.1 and below roms. Not sure of the ultimate impact honestly

Just picked up the iOttie XL for my new-to-me Note 2, works great. Best quality car dock I've had yet. Fits the Note 2 with a Case Mate Tough Case just barely! I understand the Note 2 with an Otterbox Defender is too big for it, but it should be fine for your application.

Just wanted to join the party and say that I'm seeing this as well in the latest 10.2 CM nightlies on a Verizon Note 2.... Found the thread searching for mdm_hsic_pm0 on Google.

Am I crazy or is this missing the setting to set the "Double tap home" activity? Awesome rom btw, between getting an extended battery and changing to this rom, it feels like my battery life has more than doubled!
