    Post Charging Method

That's what I've heard before. 80% is the cutoff for any fast charging/warp charge I believe. I thought in a review I seen that this phone cut off warp charging at 90%. It is to preserve battery life maybe by not overcharging. But not 100%. The phone has an option in settings called...

Post Link found to WiFi 5GHz problems

It ends up it is an issue with the channel. Before I bought the phone I had manually set my router to channel 153 because auto kept putting me on the same channel as my neighbor. The OnePlus will connect to channels 149 and 153 but isn't really functional. I had to select one of the UNII-1...

Post Link found to WiFi 5GHz problems

I understand how 2.4 and 5 work as far as range and bandwidth goes. I tested this theory in the same spot my old phone would get 100mbps down (what I pay for) while connected to 5Ghz Wifi. The OnePlus 8 Pro while connected to 5Ghz in the same spot with Bluetooth enabled would cause the phones...

Thread Link found to WiFi 5GHz problems

So like everyone else I have the 5GHz wifi problem. If I'm not in the same room as the router you can forget using 5GHz. So I found the link to the problem. I just don't know how to solve it. I connected to the 5GHz in a trouble location while having mobile data and Bluetooth turned on...

Post Texts/3rd party SMS apps not working

Ya I figured that was the link to the problem just don't really know much about that stuff and never seen anyone else mention it. As far as going back to 7.1 if you have your bootloader unlocked (not sure if you need root access as it's all done by adb command lines) then you can delete the...

Post Texts/3rd party SMS apps not working

What really blows my mind is why some apps work and some don't. I was digging around the database for message storage. I noticed when the message went through I would get one field that said something like vdn.wap.mms. if the message was never received it would show like http://random IP...

Post Texts/3rd party SMS apps not working

Alright thanks. I've also ruued back to 2.42.617.1 and all the jazz. I am able to add new apns and manually put in the mmsc and port number. That never helped. My dad's Pixel 2 doesn't have a MMSC or port number but my wife's Moto G6 does.

Post Texts/3rd party SMS apps not working

The guy did say after he got the problem fixed, if he did any flashing or updating to the phone he pulled the SIM out and didn't put it back in until completely finished and he hasn't had the problem since. If you do find your solution please let me know. I have spent hours trying everything...

Post Texts/3rd party SMS apps not working

March is exactly when my MMS stopped working. I went to a Verizon store where I know a guy that works there. I asked him if he could make sure my advanced calling features were activated on there end. He did something and said you're all set and gave me a new SIM. I activated it in my wife's old...

if you've messed your phone up and can't boot to your OS find the appropriate RUU.exe or the flashable .zip firmware. make sure you have the HTC drivers installed on your computer. if you can use fastboot commands to get to download mode on the phone then run the RUU.exe. if you go the flashable...

Post Texts/3rd party SMS apps not working

You have to be rooted to change the APN because you have to add 2 lines to the build.prop to allow an app like APN Settings to add a new APN. I have the same problem. My APN was slightly different from my wife's. And still you can't change an existing APN only add a new one and delete the old...

Post MMS Not receiving unless using HTC message app

Go to HTCdev.com and click developer center at the top. Then click kernel source code. I'm assuming you have the unlocked version. So find the kernel for the u11 with region Gen Unlock and description 2.42.617.1 and download it should be about 2gb. Then go to...

Post MMS Not receiving unless using HTC message app

I took a leap and flashed the 617.1 RUU. everything went great. Only problem is it didn't fix the problem. I am able to get mms messages on stock app, Verizon messages, and Go SMS. Just can't figure out the issue with Android messages when my wifes sim card in my phone gets mms on AM but not mine

Post MMS Not receiving unless using HTC message app

Does anyone know if there is a RUU for the 2.42.617.6 build. From what I gather it's not an easy task going back in build numbers and all HTC offers is the 2.42.617.1 build.

    Thread Build Number Question

My current build number is 2.42.617.6 and kernel is 4.4.78. I was wondering if I could revert back to the 2.42.617.1 RUU with the same kernel since that's the only one HTC offers on their site. Or do I have to be rooted to revert back? Also would I just be better off rooting and installing a...

I actually have the same problem with my HTC U11 that's on Verizon services. I posted a new thread about before I seen this one. My problems started a week or so ago. Post Slow switch between wifi
