I get that I have to replace the digitizer with the screen as they're really a single component. The problem is, the video I watched on youtube says you need a heat source at like 420 degrees Celsius to remove it from the LCD. Is it ok to use a regular hair drier? Or do I need a special heat gun?

Um, the Xperia Play isnt one of the options it gave me.

The Xperia Play from Rogers has fastboot mode locked out. How else can I root it? The stock apps are taking up so much space thanks to 2.3.3 that I've had to uninstall EVERYTHING of mine otherwise it thinks its full and refuses to check email or download any file.
