YES...I had all kinds of problems without performing a clean format. Actually someone from another forum gave me an incredible .zip file that performed the clean before I did the install. The rom now works great. I had permission issues, lack of storage space, horrible battery life. before...

I had the same concern....recycling the sync for contacts several time and now they work.
