Is there a way, using Tasker, to disable Utter's permanent recognition when I click on the mic in another app to speak text, e.g. on the Swype keyboard? As of now, voice input in other apps doesn't work if I have permanent recognition enabled in Utter. Thanks!

Well it's just that in Atooma the Gear shows up under "Objects" that you can include in your "if" statement, whereas the Gear does not show up as an option to create a "context" with in Tasker.

Thanks so much for the help and the offer to make the apk for me. Turns out that Option 1 worked! I had forgotten about that shortcut that the developer had made. I was able to get Atooma to activate Utter when I shake my Gear. So now I can send emails completely by speaking to my Gear...

Alright, so all this time I was thinking "tasker" referred to a general Android programming term, but now after searching online I see that it is an app, correct? From what I'm reading, it seems awesome! And yeah, this should be able to do what I want. Thanks everyone!

Hey there, Well I did try using Atooma to create a task where if I shake the watch vertically, it opens Utter on the phone; it worked, except that it opened the app (where you can change settings, etc.) instead of activating Utter. The Utter quicklaunch icon does not show up as an "app" for me...
