I have tested Airplane Mode Helper v1.0.4 on Android Oreo 8.1 (LineageOS 15.1) and it is working properly.

Airplane Mode Helper will not ask for root. It requires Xposed Framework installed. If it doesn't work, please check that Xposed Framework is installed and Airplane Mode Helper is enabled as Xposed module.

I suggest upgrading to latest (2018-08-03) build as it contains a fix for recently discovered Bluetooth vulnerability.

In January 24 build Bluetooth calling should be fixed for most of the people (thanks to RaymanFX ). Also Bluetooth regression introduced in 20180117 build has been reverted (I am investigating this and pluto123 is testing the fixes). I.e. I am still working on Bluetooth calling fix.

lklaus I don't recommend to risk damaging a medical device! Regarding adjusting NFC power - I don't know whether (and how) this can be done, BUT as said I don't recommend messing with in-use medical devices.

This is unexpected. What build (from which date) did you have previously?

The fix won't force 8kHz for bt devices supporting 16 kHz (however AFAIK AMR codec is not used by bluetooth at all).

Regarding bluetooth calling audio, we are working on the fix. Regarding always setting sample rate to 8000 (the binary patching discussed) it might break compatibility with other headsets/speakers/cars.

I am happy that Airplane Mode Helper now is working properly on Nougat. :) Google has changed APIs (one of functions called for enabling/disabling airplane mode, that previously failed silently, is throwing exception in Nougat).
