    Post phh's SuperUser/ OpenSource SELinux-capable SuperUser

It seems like many people still haven't understood the purpose of apps like SuperSu and Superuser. They are no exploits and don't gain your root access. What they do is they manage the root access and enable you to select which apps to grant root access, otherwise every single application on...

Attention: Uhh, fyi: just tried to download the M8-toolkit. The link on opening page (leading to "http://d-h.st/users/hasoon2000/?fld_id=2808#files") links to all toolkit versions. Unfortunately every single one I have tried was just delivering malware (some dubious "toolkitxxxx.rar.exe"). I...

Post There's just no way to get rid of the lag

Do you actually do clean installs incl. superwipe on every flash or do you just smash next ROM on top of the last one? Again, at least with AOSP ROMs I can't confirm at all what you're experiencing. TW ROMs are known to be horrible on S3, I never really managed to get it as fast and responsive...

Post There's just no way to get rid of the lag

Chrome will never run smootly on S3 due to its limited RAM, which is ridicolous. I don't use Chrome, have SlimKat installed and very much optimized - my S3 is superfast and responsive, I do not understand OP's complaints at all.

Post HOW TO translated a APK to your language

No, there's no way if developer signed with his private key. Though I did stagger over one thread at stackoverflow.com where someone posted a method recompiling and signing with a public key. Didn't follow it in the end, sometimes it pisses me off how devs from normal paid apps make it...

Post [APK][Xposed] resOverloader - Overload applications res files

Normal, machine translation is basically ALWAYS crap. It's about automating the process with just a nice clean interface translators need, so they don't have to do that time consuming mingling with xml and array files. Sent from i9300 running SlimKat OS

Post [APK][Xposed] resOverloader - Overload applications res files

I noticed this happens when xml string was incorrectly translated. In some strings some phrases are formatted or hardcoded, or need an array or plurals xml for proper translation. In this case the new translated string is obviously ignored and falls back to original value string.

Honestly, in my experience (escpecially since using boxes) it is rarely a hardware brick. 1 from 10 dead phones or bootlooped devices have a defective board, the rest is recoverable by software repair. Well, since EFS is broken already it should be sufficient. To be on the safe site you can additionally save the EFS folder with Root Explorer.
