It's honestly really saddening for Samsung. It looked like it was gonna be Samsung's best selling phone yet and the battery issue couldn't come at a worse timing.
And I doubt the demand will still be there two months from now :(

There is also a "Battery Status" thing when you hold down your power button. I don't think that one could be easily tampered with

Yea that's a pretty good idea but people could just refuse to update and I guess the FAA wouldn't be too happy about that. It would be nice if we could toggle it tho

It's on the "Samsung Mobile Singapore" Facebook group. They have replied several people regarding the issue. I have a screenshot of it in my previous post.
I think a bright green battery icon on a mostly white and blue UI is distinct enough to tell if your device is safe

Just got my marshmallow update after so many months. (G920IDVU3ECP1)
It's so much faster than lollipop! First time my play store doesn't drop frames. Incredibly happy with the update.
I seems like your fb messenger is the one that's causing the trouble. I restricted messenger to use mobile data and found that it gave me way better battery life.
To disable data for a specific app, go to mobile data > find the app > select the app > restrict background data

Hey guys! A few days ago my pebble arrived. After pairing my pebble to my phone I noticed a noticeable drop in Bluetooth audio quality.
This has to be a problem that's addressed. I don't know if it's a android problem or just the device specific but what I found out is that this occurs on the...
I browse a lot so web pages that use Javascript is everywhere. Also, it's a very inelegant solution to a problem that shouldn't even be there in the first place.

Already have that. Helps a little but still consistently dropping frames. Am I the only one experiencing this? O.o
Edit: Just realised the video I linked was set to private. Changed it to public :)

I will reset my device in a few days. Went to the Samsung store and checked out their display units. Some seem to suffer from it while others don't. My phone is also pretty bloat free, only about 3 pages of apps.

The length of the animation doesn't help anything. I'll post a slow mo video later. The S6 just drops frames so often.

A few days ago I bought an Asus Zenfone 2 for my mum and I realised how smooth chrome is on that phone compared to the S6. Anyone else having this issue where chrome isn't really running at 60fps?
Especially when opening and closing tabs, my S6 just drops frames all the time. I'm on 5.0.2 if...
5 hours SOT. Not rooted, auto brightness at 50-100%, connected to wifi the whole time. Doing basic stuff like web browsing and other average joe stuff.

Use titanium backup to freeze "System Update". It's a green icon. Make sure you unfreeze it before you unroot if you wanna receive OTAs.

I don't have this issue no matter how I try to look at it. You might wanna bring it to Samsung to have it replaced xD

I switched from the iPhone 6 to the S6.
Do I miss my iPhone sometimes? Kinda
Did I make the right decision? For me it's a yes.
Really depends on your use case. The iPhone is a great phone. It just works without any hiccup. The S6 feels like a pocket computer, it does everything the iPhone...
Any Quick Charge 2.0 charger will fast charge the S6 as "Adaptive Fast Charging" is based off Qualcomm's "Quick Charge 2.0".

I have the same issue as well. This happened only after I updated my firmware to the latest BOF2 update. I didn't have this problem on AOE3 before I updated my phone.

I switched from an iPhone 6 to this. According to what you said just now, I would say that the iPhone 6 is a better phone for you. If you want a phone that just works, the iPhone is really the way to go.
I use a Dbrand skin and tempered glass screen protector in normal days. Just bought a spigen rugged armour as I'm gonna go on a 3 day camp and I don't wanna risk breaking it.
The dbrand skin should suffice for everyday use. It protects the rear glass from cracking if I ever drop it. And the...
I get similar CPU readings as well. Whatever I'm doing, chat, web, scrolling thru Instagram. I rarely ever see any one of my cores go offline for some reason.
I have no idea about how AT&T does things. But if their network and phone supports VoLTE I don't see a reason they won't let you use VoLTE.
And BTW, both my carriers support VoLTE, just that one of them let's me toggle it while the other one doesnt.
I have the G920I as well and I can confirm that I don't have the option to turn VoLTE on or off.
I will try a different SIM card later on and see if I will have the option to toggle VoLTE. My iPhone 6 didn't have the option until I inserted a VoLTE SIM card.\
Edit: I tried my VoLTE supported...
